PMS 7446 C | System / collection: Pantone PMS. This color conveys a saturated, modern, and energetic vibe, incorporating both blue and violet influences with a clean and somewhat technical feel. Within the Pantone Matching System, PMS 7446 C is regarded as a chromatic option for standout visual elements that demand consistency across substrates and display formats.
- PMS 7446 C appears mid-dark in value, with an LRV of 28.12. - The color is on the cool end of the spectrum, favoring blue-violet rather than red-violet. - This color is highly saturated for its hue family, making it more vivid than muted alternatives. - PMS 7446 C exhibits a noticeable blue undertone, with violet as the supporting influence. - The color can shift subtly depending on finish and lighting, especially under differing ambient conditions. - PMS 7446 C may show enhanced intensity in gloss or satin sheens and may appear deeper or less saturated in flat finishes.
PMS 7446 C works effectively when a bold, recognizable blue-violet presence is required for branded displays, prototypes, or marketing assets demanding consistent color identity. Evaluate the color under the intended lighting and on final substrates, as the high chroma and cool undertone may be influenced by environmental factors and finish selection. Like other vivid Pantone PMS options, it may require multiple coats for full hide, especially over contrasting primers or substrates, and finish selection will impact perceived depth and saturation. When comparing to related blue-violets, this shade reads cooler and more saturated, with less visible gray influence.
The following examples reflect commonly cited branding associations and are based on publicly referenced design usage; they are illustrative, not exhaustive or exclusive. - PMS 7446 C is frequently associated with technology and creative sector branding, where bold and modern blue-violets are desired for high-visibility campaigns. - PMS 7446 C is widely cited as a selection for identity systems seeking a strong yet progressive visual without shifting to pure blue.

PMS 7446 C is specified as a brand color reference within the Pantone Matching System, which identifies the target shade only. Pantone codes do not define gloss, substrate, or base formulation. Using PMS 7446 C as a touch-up reference on pre-painted products or architectural elements often results in visible differences because the original finish, sheen, and substrate can alter how the color looks. For consistent brand displays or new builds, PMS 7446 C helps achieve visual alignment, but it is not a reliable standard for blending into existing surfaces. For visible repairs or continuity, test a sample first and do not assume a Pantone match will blend with legacy finishes.
A typical 11 ounce spray can of PMS 7446 C covers about 15 to 20 square feet per coat, depending on how it is applied, surface roughness, and the number of coats needed. Because PMS 7446 C is highly saturated, you may need additional coats to achieve full opacity, especially over contrasting or unprimed substrates. To estimate quantity, calculate the total square footage and multiply by the expected number of coats. Consider ordering extra if your project needs consistent color build and coverage on highly visible brand surfaces.
PMS 7446 C is intended for visually accurate prototype and concept model work where alignment with brand standards is critical. Select a paint format that matches your model material and display context, such as spray paint for even coverage or paint pens for detailed elements. Evaluate PMS 7446 C under the lighting conditions expected for final display, as color can appear different under varying light or on different substrates. For best results, apply the color on sample materials first and confirm that both color and finish meet brand expectations before completing your full prototype or display unit.
To order paint for PMS 7446 C, start by selecting the color on the MyPerfectColor website. Choose the paint type and format suitable for your application, such as spray paint, paint pen, or another finish. Next, pick the desired sheen, quantity, and any specific options needed for your project. Review your selections to confirm they meet your brand and material requirements before adding items to the cart and completing checkout. If final color outcome is critical, order a sample or test panel first to make sure PMS 7446 C meets your expectations on your intended substrate.
Unfortunately, no.
Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.
The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.

While MyPerfectColor can provide PMS 7446 C in paint, we don't provide any crossover information. We've found that every paint company offers its own unique selection of colors and rarely does a color have an exact equivalent in another company's color collection, especially for a color collection like Pantone which is designed for bright colors and inks.
