Pantone™ PMS 7436 C

Durability of Pantone PMS 7436 C spray paint depends on how well you prepare the surface, whether you use an appropriate primer or undercoat, and the environmental conditions the painted piece will face. For interior, brand-facing applications, a well-prepped smooth substrate usually provides sound durability. For exterior or high-traffic areas, you may need a protective topcoat to help the color last. Always choose the paint system based on how and where your display will be used, as different paint chemistries offer varied performance in outdoor or challenging conditions.

PMS 7436 C is a very light and pastel violet, which can show surface color and imperfections if applied thin. For best results, consider using a white or light gray undercoat to improve coverage and achieve a uniform appearance. Plan for at least two coats, especially if painting over dark or uneven surfaces, to ensure the color appears consistent and brand-accurate across large branded fields or displays.

Surface texture has a noticeable impact on the perceived look of Pantone PMS 7436 C. On smooth, matte surfaces, the color appears softer and more even, while textured or glossy finishes can increase reflectivity and affect how light or saturated the color seems. Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.

The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.
