PMS 7412 C is part of the Pantone PMS system, widely used in branding and specification work. The color communicates a grounded, energetic, and approachable feel. It presents an autumnal, technical, and assertive look, suitable for brand and marketing applications where a robust orange is needed. With a lower LRV of 28.12, this color presents as moderately dark and saturated, creating noticeable visual emphasis without being neon-like.
PMS 7412 C appears as a medium-dark orange, with a moderately low light reflectance value (LRV 28.12). The color exhibits a warm tendency, with no coolness in its undertone. PMS 7412 C has high chroma, resulting in strong, noticeably saturated visual impact. The undertone leans earthy, providing an orange with a brownish, natural quality rather than a citrus or neon appearance. This color may demonstrate increased richness or warmth depending on the selected finish; matte finishes will mute the perceived chroma, while gloss will amplify saturation.
PMS 7412 C works well for applications requiring bold, warm visuals without veering into aggressive brightness. It is often selected for brand displays and visual identities where a grounded yet noticeable orange is specified. The color’s moderate darkness can help minimize issues with dirt pickup on surfaces, but as with all saturated oranges, expect potentially lower hide and plan for thorough priming and multiple coats, especially over light or contrasting substrates. Color appearance may shift under different lighting conditions, and finish selection will meaningfully affect the perceived depth and vividness.
This Pantone PMS color is defined by the Pantone Matching System standard. Evaluate the color using a physical Pantone reference and a real paint sample in the intended lighting and finish. Paint appearance varies by finish and lighting.

The texture of your surface can change how PMS 7412 C looks once applied. Smooth surfaces tend to reflect light more evenly, making the color appear brighter and more saturated. Textured or matte surfaces create small shadows and reduce reflectivity, which can make PMS 7412 C seem slightly darker or muted. For the most consistent brand result, test the color on your actual substrate and finish in the intended lighting before committing to a large application.

Unfortunately, no.
Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.
The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.
