Pantone™ PMS 9041 C

PMS 9041 C is a very light, cool green with low chroma and high lightness, so its appearance is especially sensitive to lighting changes. For the most reliable color impression, evaluate PMS 9041 C samples under the lighting that will be used in your installation or display. Always confirm appearance on your actual material and intended finish before ordering for brand-critical projects.

Whether you need a primer with PMS 9041 C depends on your substrate and paint type. Primer is usually recommended for bare, porous, or slick surfaces (such as unpainted metal, plastic, or wood) to improve adhesion and uniformity. Because PMS 9041 C is a very light color with high lightness, a primer can also help prevent show-through and ensure consistent color, especially over dark or uneven bases. Refer to product-specific primer guidance whenever possible for your chosen paint format and material.

Ordering PMS 9041 C paint means you are requesting a product that visually matches the standardized Pantone PMS 9041 C color as closely as practical. PMS codes specify a visual color target, not a coating formula, finish, or application method. Paints matched to PMS 9041 C are formulated to provide a visual approximation according to the Pantone PMS standard, but slight variations can occur depending on substrate, finish, and lighting conditions. Always review samples if exact visual alignment is required.

One standard spray can of PMS 9041 C paint will usually cover about 20 to 25 square feet per coat on a smooth, primed surface. Actual coverage depends on how heavily the color is applied, the number of coats needed for full opacity, surface texture, and absorption. Because PMS 9041 C is a very light color, additional coats or a white primer may be needed for best uniformity over dark surfaces. Plan your order based on the total area, expected number of coats, and substrate type for the most accurate results.

Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.

The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.
