PMS 566 C from the Pantone PMS system is recognized for its very pale appearance, distinctly cool energy, and understated, technical vibe. It is often described as calm, fresh, clean, and minimal, with a visually light quality that lends itself well to modern branding and environments where subtle differentiation is required.
PMS 566 C has a high light reflectance value (LRV 74.16), making it visually bright and airy.
The color appears cool due to its greenish hue with noticeable blue undertones.
Saturation is low, lending the color a diluted, almost pastel appearance rather than vivid intensity.
The undertone is subtle blue-green, which maintains a crisp, clean impression across lighting conditions.
The color is sensitive to surrounding elements and can shift perceptually in different lighting types or when paired with more saturated colors.
PMS 566 C is most effective where visually light, understated color is needed without overwhelming other branding elements. It provides differentiation in corporate palettes, backgrounds, or environments where a suggestion of green is required without heavy chromatic weight.
When using this color, it is important to test samples in intended lighting, as its subtle undertone can appear cooler or slightly washed out depending on surrounding conditions and surface finish.
Compared to similar light greens, PMS 566 C is less saturated and will read as cleaner and more technical; bolder undertones or higher chroma in similar colors may introduce unwanted warmth or visual distraction.

Pantone PMS 566 C is intended as a color target for brand consistency but does not specify finish, sheen, or account for different substrate conditions. Using PMS 566 C for touch-up can lead to visible mismatches because the original finish may have aged, faded, or used a unique process. For maintenance or repair, a color matched directly to the original surface provides a more reliable result.
For Pantone PMS 566 C, it is best practice to order a small paint sample in the intended product type and sheen. Apply the sample to the actual substrate and evaluate it under your installed lighting conditions. This process lets stakeholders approve the appearance before committing to production quantities and helps ensure the color performs as expected for your brand needs.
The safety and VOC requirements for Pantone PMS 566 C depend on the specific paint product and format you choose, such as spray paint, paint pens, or brush-in-cap bottles. Always consult the safety data sheet for the product, follow usage instructions, and use appropriate ventilation and protective equipment during application.
To order Pantone PMS 566 C paint, first select the paint type and sheen suitable for your application. Enter the quantity required and review any additional options, such as spray paint, paint pens, or other formats. Double-check that the color, format, and finish meet your specifications before placing your order to support brand accuracy and project requirements.
Unfortunately, no.
Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.
The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.

While MyPerfectColor can provide PMS 566 C in paint, we don't provide any crossover information. We've found that every paint company offers its own unique selection of colors and rarely does a color have an exact equivalent in another company's color collection, especially for a color collection like Pantone which is designed for bright colors and inks.
