Pantone® PMS 621 C . Paint And Spray Paint. MyPerfectColor is the official licensee of Pantone and authorized to reproduce the Pantone Matching System colors in spray paint and other paints.

PMS 621 C is part of the Pantone PMS color system, which is widely used for specifying consistent colors in professional branding, signage, and marketing displays. This color is recognized for its subdued, clean, and technical appearance. With a notably light reflectance value, it creates a calm, understated effect that reads as professional and modern. The overall vibe is muted, crisp, and neutral—making it suitable for projects requiring an approachable but highly controlled chromatic presence.

PMS 621 C presents as a very light color, with an LRV of 72.07 indicating strong light reflectance.

The color is cool, positioned at a blue-green hue angle.

Saturation is low, yielding a subdued and muted quality.

Undertone is a balanced mix of blue and green, without strong yellow or red inflection.

This color is relatively stable under different finishes but can appear softer in matte and slightly sharper in gloss.

PMS 621 C is unlikely to introduce color cast issues under most lighting.

PMS 621 C is well suited for applications where a calm, contemporary, and highly readable background or accent is required, such as brand displays, graphics, and wayfinding components demanding visual clarity without visual dominance. It works reliably in both natural and artificial lighting conditions. When using over dark or saturated substrates, a primer may be necessary to achieve full opacity and color fidelity. Compared to deeper or more saturated colors in the blue-green family, PMS 621 C offers more neutrality and lower risk of color shift, but verify visual targets with real samples when precise brand matching is paramount.

Similar colors:

  • PMS 624 C — Slightly darker and more pronounced blue-green, with greater chromatic depth.
  • PMS 552 C — Lighter and closer to an off-white with a subtle blue-green tint.
  • PMS 559 C — Slightly warmer and softer, with more visible green influence.

Frequently Asked Questions About Pantone™ PMS 621 C

What safety and VOC expectations should I consider when using paints matched to Pantone PMS 621 C?

The safety and VOC (volatile organic compound) expectations for paints matched to Pantone PMS 621 C will depend on the specific product and format you select. Always review the safety data sheet (SDS) for the product you are using, follow manufacturer instructions, and use appropriate personal protective equipment. Ensure proper ventilation during application and storage. For any questions about handling or compliance, consult the SDS or contact MyPerfectColor before use.

How can I maintain a uniform appearance when applying PMS 621 C over a large area?

To achieve a consistent look with PMS 621 C over large surfaces, start with a properly prepared and primed substrate, especially if covering dark or uneven backgrounds. Apply paint in even, planned coats using consistent technique and equipment throughout the project. Work from edge to edge without stopping in the middle of a surface to avoid lap marks or visible variances. Allow full drying between coats and inspect under final lighting conditions to confirm uniformity before considering the application complete.

How is Pantone PMS 621 C used to support a consistent brand experience?

Pantone PMS 621 C acts as a standardized color reference, allowing brands to achieve consistent visual identity across different marketing materials, displays, and branded environments. By specifying PMS 621 C, all vendors and fabricators can use the same color target for projects, ensuring that logos, signage, and graphics appear uniform and recognizable regardless of material or format. This alignment is critical for maintaining cohesive brand presentation in marketing and display applications.

Can I use the Pantone PMS 621 C for touch up?

Unfortunately, no.

Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.

The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.

How do I convert PMS 621 C to a different color from another paint company?

While MyPerfectColor can provide PMS 621 C in paint, we don't provide any crossover information.
