PMS 713 C, from the Pantone PMS collection, is viewed as a soft, approachable, and subtly warm color with a moderate lightness. The vibe is practical, clean, professional, and understated, supporting environments that require visual clarity and subtle distinction without overt saturation or harsh contrast.
- PMS 713 C appears light, with an LRV of 62.16 indicating moderate reflectance suitable for visually open or well-lit spaces. - The color exhibits a warm tendency, with its hue orienting toward the yellow spectrum. - Saturation is moderate, offering a perceptible but not overpowering color presence. - PMS 713 C presents a gentle yellow undertone that can read differently depending on surrounding colors and lighting. - The color’s appearance is sensitive to finish; in higher gloss, its warmth and slight chromatic content can become more prominent.
PMS 713 C works well where a restrained, slightly warm shade is needed to convey clarity, approachability, or a sense of cleanliness without strong color bias. It is appropriate for branded environments, display components, and marketing installations where overly vivid colors may be undesirable. For best results, assess this color next to adjacent branding elements and test under the lighting conditions of the installation site. PMS 713 C can shift noticeably under varied lighting or depending on finish; sample on actual materials when matching to other substrates. Coverage is typically reliable, but the moderate chroma may require attention to priming, especially over contrasting backgrounds.

Safety and VOC requirements for PMS 713 C depend on the specific product and format you select, such as spray paint or house paint. Always review the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) provided for your chosen product and follow ventilation, protective equipment, and handling recommendations. If you are working in enclosed spaces or on brand restricted projects, confirm that the product meets your organization's VOC and safety standards.
PMS 713 C is a moderately light and warm Pantone color. For best visual uniformity and brand consistency, especially over dark or highly contrasting substrates, it is recommended to use a suitable primer or undercoat and expect more than one coat for full coverage. This approach helps achieve the color's intended appearance and minimizes the risk of show-through from the underlying material.
Yes, it is important to match exactly to the Pantone code and suffix, such as PMS 713 C, indicated by your brand standards. Pantone PMS codes may include suffixes like C, U, or CP, each representing a different reference. Confirm that you are ordering paint matched to the correct PMS 713 standard for your intended application to ensure brand alignment.
If using PMS 713 C on metal or powder coated substrates, thorough cleaning and careful surface preparation are critical. Scuffing or abrading glossy or powder coated surfaces can help the new coating adhere and achieve a more consistent appearance. Existing coatings and the level of gloss can influence how Pantone PMS 713 C is perceived, so testing the color on a sample of your substrate under site lighting is recommended before full production.
Unfortunately, no.
Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.
The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.

While MyPerfectColor can provide PMS 713 C in paint, we don't provide any crossover information. We've found that every paint company offers its own unique selection of colors and rarely does a color have an exact equivalent in another company's color collection, especially for a color collection like Pantone which is designed for bright colors and inks.
