PMS 710 C is part of the Pantone PMS (Pantone Matching System) collection, a widely recognized color standard in branding, marketing, and design environments. The color presents a vibrant, moderately dark orange-red personality. It conveys an energetic, extroverted, and dynamic character while maintaining a practical, clean, and high-visibility appearance, often used for strong visual branding and fast-impact marketing applications.

PMS 710 C has a moderately low lightness (LRV 22.93), presenting as a noticeably deep color compared to lighter oranges. The color is warm, strongly influenced by its high chroma and orange-red hue. PMS 710 C shows an elevated saturation level, lending to a vivid, eye-catching effect. Undertones of this color lean distinctly warm, with a notably orange-red character. The color shows some sensitivity to gloss and finish, with higher gloss finishes enhancing vibrancy and perceived depth.

PMS 710 C is frequently selected for branded retail displays and marketing activations requiring eye-catching orange-red hues. The color is often specified for point-of-sale displays, on-package branding accents, and event signage where a consistent, energetic orange-red is needed.

PMS 710 C is operationally effective where bold, high-visibility orange-red branding is needed, especially in dynamic retail or event environments. Precision in finish and surface preparation is important, as its vividness can accentuate surface imperfections. The color may appear deeper or slightly more muted under lower light or in matte finishes. When evaluating this color for painted applications, test in the intended lighting and finish to assess the vibrancy and coverage relative to project requirements. Expect saturation and coverage challenges common to strongly pigmented oranges, and plan for adequate priming and multiple coats if high opacity is needed.

This Pantone PMS color is defined by the Pantone Matching System standard. Evaluate the color using a physical Pantone reference and a real paint sample in the intended lighting and finish. Paint appearance varies by finish and lighting.

Frequently Asked Questions About Pantone™ PMS 710 C

What coverage and hide challenges should I expect when using PMS 710 C for a brand application?

PMS 710 C is a highly saturated orange-red, which means it may require additional coats to achieve uniform, brand-accurate coverage compared to less intense colors. Especially on porous or uneven surfaces, or when covering a contrasting base color, plan for priming and possibly several coats to fully realize the intended vibrancy of PMS 710 C. This is common for bright, pigmented Pantone shades and is important to meet brand standards in displays and marketing environments.

How can I get help choosing the right paint type for PMS 710 C based on my project needs?

If you need advice on selecting the appropriate paint product for PMS 710 C, contact MyPerfectColor with details on your substrate, exposure conditions, and finish requirements. This helps ensure you receive the product format and performance best suited for your brand or display application. MyPerfectColor offers PMS 710 C in custom spray paint and other formats for brand and marketing use cases.

How do I ensure consistent results if I reorder PMS 710 C for future projects?

To maintain consistency for PMS 710 C across multiple orders, use the same paint type, finish, and reference standard for each run. Always evaluate results against a physical Pantone PMS 710 C guide and any internally approved standard. Adhering to this process reduces variability, particularly important for vivid, brand-driven displays or environments.

Is PMS 710 C paint suitable for touch-up or repair work?

PMS 710 C is specified as a brand standard color, not as a touch-up or repair solution. If you need to match an existing part exactly for touch-up quality results, you should send a physical sample for precise matching. Ordering PMS 710 C based only on the Pantone code is intended for brand color reproduction in new displays or installations, not for spot correction on pre-painted surfaces.

How quickly will I receive my paint matched to Pantone PMS 710 C?
All paint is custom-made to order. While most orders ship within 48 hours, the lead-time for paint made to match Pantone PMS 710 C depends on the type of paint needed. Interior and exterior house paints usually ship within 1 to 3 business days, while custom spray paint typically takes 3-5 business days to ship. The transit time depends on your location and the shipping method you choose. If your need is immediate, select Expedited Production during checkout. Most expedited production orders ship within 24 hours on business days. Please contact MyPerfectColor if you are concerned about a specific deadline. We do our best to make sure you get your paint on time. Learn more about paint lead times at MyPerfectColor.
Can I use the Pantone PMS 710 C for touch up?

Unfortunately, no.

Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.

The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.

While MyPerfectColor can provide PMS 710 C in paint, we don't provide any crossover information.
