Pantone™ PMS 691 C

Pantone PMS 691 C is often chosen for marketing materials and branded environments that require a light, understated warmth. While there are no widely publicized major brand adoptions for PMS 691 C, its subtle, neutral quality makes it a practical choice for backgrounds, exhibit components, or as an accent in visual brand systems where visual noise needs to be minimized and a gentle, approachable impression is desired.

Sampling Pantone PMS 691 C is recommended for brand-centric projects with formal review processes, large-scale installations, or permanent environments. Because PMS 691 C is a light, low-chroma color, its appearance is sensitive to substrate preparation, gloss level, and lighting. If precise brand appearance is critical or if colors will be viewed across different materials or lighting conditions, a sample ensures that the result meets expectations before committing to full production.

The look of Pantone PMS 691 C can shift noticeably under different lighting types. Warm or neutral lighting will preserve its soft, warm undertone, while cool or blue-tinted light can make it appear less warm and slightly muted. Evaluate samples of PMS 691 C under the actual lighting and on the intended substrate to understand how the color will appear in real use. This step is especially important for brand-critical installations or displays.

A standard spray can of Pantone PMS 691 C typically covers about 20 to 25 square feet per coat on a smooth, primed surface. Factors such as substrate texture, number of coats needed, and application method can affect coverage. Light, low-chroma colors like PMS 691 C may require more than one coat for uniform appearance, especially over dark or varied surfaces. Plan accordingly by ordering extra material for test panels and touch-up of test areas.

Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.

The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.
