PMS 674 C is part of the Pantone Matching System (PMS), a widely recognized specification standard for consistent color communication in branding, display, and industrial design. This color delivers a distinctly vibrant, modern, and attention-grabbing appearance, with a cool magenta tone, moderate darkness, and a clean, technical character. The vibe is confident, assertive, youthful, and unambiguously chromatic. Used correctly, it can create strong differentiation in visual communications or physical environments.
PMS 674 C exhibits a mid-depth appearance, neither very dark nor very light, confirmed by an LRV of 24.92. The color has a distinctly cool magenta character, situated between purple-red and pink on the color spectrum. PMS 674 C has high chroma, resulting in strong saturation and visual vividness. The undertone is cool with clear magenta influence, free from obvious warmth or brownness. This color is moderately sensitive to finish; high-gloss finishes increase vibrancy, while matte finishes can reduce apparent chroma. PMS 674 C may display perceptible shifts based on ambient lighting type and strength.
PMS 674 C performs well when used for brand elements that require immediate visual notice, such as experiential graphics, retail feature walls, or exhibit components. Ensure full, uniform coverage to avoid streaking or dull spots, as highly chromatic colors can require multiple coats, especially over lighter or contrasting primers. Observe the color under intended final lighting and in the selected finish, as reflected magenta tones can shift in cool or warm light. Compared to similar magenta-centric colors, PMS 674 C maintains higher chroma and a cooler undertone, providing a more assertive appearance without shifting toward purple or red bases.
This Pantone PMS color is defined by the Pantone Matching System standard. Evaluate the color using a physical Pantone reference and a real paint sample in the intended lighting and finish. Paint appearance varies by finish and lighting.

Pantone PMS 674 C is identified by both its name and its precise Pantone code, which must always include the correct number and suffix (for example, '674 C'). The code defines the exact color standard for branding and display purposes. When ordering paint for PMS 674 C, always use the full Pantone code as specified by your brand guidelines to ensure that you receive the intended color and finish. Relying only on a partial name or omitting the suffix could result in receiving the wrong color or finish series. For best results, confirm the color target against your Pantone standard and specify the code exactly when placing your order.
The Safety Data Sheet (SDS) for Pantone PMS 674 C paint is determined by the specific paint product or format you select, such as spray paint, epoxy, or housepaint. The SDS covers the paint's physical and chemical properties, not the color code. To locate the correct SDS, choose your desired product type, then access the SDS from the paint product's information page or the SDS library. If you are unsure which SDS applies, reference the product label or contact customer service for assistance.
Pantone PMS 674 C is a highly saturated magenta, which can be more challenging to match precisely compared to less chromatic colors. Factors like material, lighting, primer color, and finish can affect the final appearance. Even with accurate formulation, some visual variation is possible between paint and the original Pantone reference, especially under different lighting and gloss levels. MyPerfectColor specializes in matching Pantone PMS colors and uses quality controls, but for critical brand or marketing use, always review a physical sample and the color in your intended setting before full application.
To achieve optimal results with Pantone PMS 674 C paint, ensure all surfaces are clean, dry, and free from dust, grease, and loose material. Clean with a suitable cleaner or degreaser, then lightly scuff glossy surfaces for improved adhesion if needed. Allow repairs or primers to fully dry before painting. Because saturated colors like PMS 674 C may require multiple coats for uniform coverage, consider applying a compatible primer for best results. Always test a small spot to confirm color and adhesion under project conditions.
Unfortunately, no.
Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.
The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.

While MyPerfectColor can provide PMS 674 C in paint, we don't provide any crossover information. We've found that every paint company offers its own unique selection of colors and rarely does a color have an exact equivalent in another company's color collection, especially for a color collection like Pantone which is designed for bright colors and inks.
