PMS 624 C is a Pantone Matching System (PMS) color belonging to the Pantone PMS collection. It presents as a cool, subdued green with a restrained, technical, and calm vibe. The color is understated, modern, and functions well where a subtle yet distinct green is needed for visual identity, marketing, and industrial applications.

PMS 624 C appears moderately light, with an LRV of 31.59. The color exhibits a cool undertone with clear blue-green influences. PMS 624 C visually reads as gently muted or desaturated, lacking overt vibrancy. The undertone is soft, with minimal yellow influence, resulting in a professional, neutral green. The color performs consistently across matte and low-sheen finishes; gloss finishes may increase perceived saturation. PMS 624 C is not highly finish sensitive but benefits from evaluation under intended lighting.

PMS 624 C is often used where a cool, muted green communicates professionalism without drawing excessive attention. This makes it effective for branding, signage, and environments that require a subtle but discernible identity presence. It is less prone to color shift than brighter or more saturated greens but should be reviewed in appropriate lighting, as artificial light can cool the tone further. On large surfaces or displays, PMS 624 C offers a modern, controlled presence that differentiates it from basic greens by avoiding pronounced yellow or warmth.

This Pantone PMS color is defined by the Pantone Matching System standard. Evaluate the color using a physical Pantone reference and a real paint sample in the intended lighting and finish. Paint appearance varies by finish and lighting.

Frequently Asked Questions About Pantone™ PMS 624 C

What should I know about matching Pantone PMS 624 C in paint for brand applications?

When specifying Pantone PMS 624 C for displays, signage, or brand-facing elements, understand that Pantone colors are defined as color targets, not formulas. Matching PMS 624 C across different materials and finishes can show subtle variations. MyPerfectColor formulates each batch to visually match the Pantone standard under controlled conditions, but color appearance may still shift depending on substrate, finish, and viewing environment. For projects where consistent brand appearance is critical, always compare physical paint samples to a Pantone reference swatch under the intended lighting to confirm suitability.

How much surface area will one spray can of Pantone PMS 624 C cover?

Coverage for Pantone PMS 624 C spray paint depends on surface type, application method, and number of coats required. One standard aerosol can typically covers approximately 20 to 25 square feet per coat on a smooth, primed surface. Textured or porous substrates, or highly contrasting base colors, could reduce coverage and require additional coats to achieve uniform brand color. To estimate quantity, measure your total surface area, factor in multiple coats if needed, and add extra if your application surface is rough or absorbent. Sampling on your substrate is recommended to finalize your project requirements.

Why does Pantone PMS 624 C look different in various lighting conditions?

The appearance of Pantone PMS 624 C can change noticeably based on lighting conditions. Cool light, such as most artificial LEDs, may make PMS 624 C appear even cooler or less saturated, while warm light can soften the tone or introduce subtle shifts. For projects where visual brand accuracy is critical, always evaluate both a Pantone swatch and a painted sample in the lighting and finish used in the final environment. This approach helps set brand expectations and catch any shifts before final production.

How can I use a sample of Pantone PMS 624 C for brand approval before a full order?

For formal approval workflows or high-visibility installations using Pantone PMS 624 C, it is best to order a small painted sample first. Evaluate the sample on your actual substrate and under actual lighting conditions where the final product will be installed. This allows teams and stakeholders to review the visual match against the Pantone reference and ensure the color meets your brand expectations before committing to a larger production run.

How quickly will I receive my paint matched to Pantone PMS 624 C?
All paint is custom-made to order. While most orders ship within 48 hours, the lead-time for paint made to match Pantone PMS 624 C depends on the type of paint needed. Interior and exterior house paints usually ship within 1 to 3 business days, while custom spray paint typically takes 3-5 business days to ship. The transit time depends on your location and the shipping method you choose. If your need is immediate, select Expedited Production during checkout. Most expedited production orders ship within 24 hours on business days. Please contact MyPerfectColor if you are concerned about a specific deadline. Can I use the Pantone PMS 624 C for touch up?

Unfortunately, no.

Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.

The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.
