PMS 619 C is part of the Pantone Matching System (PMS), designed for precise identification across print and coating applications. This color presents a soft, yellow-green character with a medium-light value and subdued appearance. The overall vibe is natural, muted, understated, and slightly warm, making it effective for real-world applications that require an organic or eco-oriented presence.

PMS 619 C displays a medium-light appearance (LRV 27.03), appropriate for use where contrast with darker elements is desired. The color reads as slightly warm due to its yellow-green undertone. Saturation is low to moderate, contributing to the muted, natural impression. The color shows a yellow-green undertone, leaning more yellow than typical leaf greens. This color can appear duller in low lighting or when applied with a matte finish.

PMS 619 C is often referenced for environmentally themed branding or sustainability messaging. The color is commonly seen in packaging, displays, and signage that require organic visual cues.

PMS 619 C works well where a muted, organic green-yellow is required for branding, signage, or display surfaces that aim to suggest eco-friendliness or natural products. Lighting strongly affects its visibility—cool, bluish light can subdue the yellow tones, while warmer lighting emphasizes its earthy qualities. Care should be taken to apply it to smooth, non-absorbent surfaces to minimize darkening, especially in lower-sheen finishes. Relative to similar greens, PMS 619 C is less saturated, so it will read more subdued and less vibrant in side-by-side applications.

This Pantone PMS color is defined by the Pantone Matching System standard. Evaluate the color using a physical Pantone reference and a real paint sample in the intended lighting and finish. Paint appearance varies by finish and lighting.

Frequently Asked Questions About Pantone™ PMS 619 C

How does surface texture impact the appearance of PMS 619 C?

The perceived color of PMS 619 C can shift depending on the surface texture. Smooth, glossy surfaces tend to reflect more light, making PMS 619 C appear lighter and more vibrant. Matte or textured finishes can absorb more light and create shadowing, which may cause the color to look deeper or more muted. If achieving brand consistency is critical, always evaluate PMS 619 C on the intended substrate and finish before production, using both a Pantone reference and a paint sample in project lighting conditions.

What should I consider when applying PMS 619 C to metal or previously powder-coated surfaces?

When using PMS 619 C on metal or powder-coated parts, proper preparation is key for accurate color and adhesion. Scuff and clean the surface to remove any gloss or contaminants, as existing coatings and surface finishes will affect how PMS 619 C appears. The gloss level and color of underlying coatings can change the perceived hue and brightness. To manage expectations, test PMS 619 C with a sample on your substrate and in your intended lighting before full production.

Are there challenges in matching PMS 619 C across materials?

PMS 619 C, like other Pantone colors, can appear different depending on application method, material, and lighting. MyPerfectColor specializes in achieving close matches to the Pantone standard, but exact visual alignment may vary if the paint is applied to different surfaces or with different sheens. For brand displays, prototypes, and environments, review both a Pantone reference and a physical paint sample under real project conditions to set expectations and ensure accuracy.

Can I use the Pantone PMS 619 C for touch up?

Unfortunately, no.

Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.

The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.
