PMS 5787 C (System / collection: Pantone PMS) is a subdued yellow-leaning green that conveys an organic, understated, and natural vibe. It is often considered muted, balanced, and practical, with a moderate sense of softness. This shade is neither bold nor vivid, prioritizing subtlety and approachability in visual identity work.

PMS 5787 C appears moderately light, with an LRV of 53.21 indicating mid-range brightness. The color reads as cool-leaning for a green-yellow, but it does not feel icy or blue-toned. PMS 5787 C is low to moderate in chroma, so it presents as muted rather than highly saturated. The undertone is a soft, earthy yellow-green, typical of natural or botanical themes. This color tends not to shift dramatically under different finishes, but glossier coatings may brighten its appearance slightly.

PMS 5787 C works well in brand and display contexts where a natural, environmentally attuned accent is preferred over boldness. It is suitable for surfaces and graphics targeting a subtle, approachable, or wellness-focused message. When specifying this color, evaluate its appearance under both daylight and artificial lighting, especially in spaces with varied substrates. Compared to more intense greens or yellows, PMS 5787 C offers reduced visual fatigue and diminished glare in large-scale applications.

This Pantone PMS color is defined by the Pantone Matching System standard. Evaluate the color using a physical Pantone reference and a real paint sample in the intended lighting and finish. Paint appearance varies by finish and lighting.

Frequently Asked Questions About Pantone™ PMS 5787 C

Why does it matter that PMS 5787 C paint is produced by a Pantone licensed source?

Pantone PMS 5787 C is defined by the Pantone Matching System as an official color standard. When PMS 5787 C paint is produced by a Pantone licensed and authorized source, you are assured that the color mix, target, and intended visual impact are matched against Pantone specifications. This gives you confidence that your brand or marketing application will visually align with Pantone standards, reducing the risk of off-brand color outcomes across projects and materials.

How should I prepare surfaces before painting with Pantone PMS 5787 C to help ensure lasting color and consistent results?

For Pantone PMS 5787 C, clean the surface to remove dust, grease, and any loose material. Make sure the substrate is dry and free of contamination. Where appropriate, lightly sand or scuff glossy areas for better adhesion and remove sanding residue. Before proceeding with full coverage, test the paint on a small, inconspicuous area to confirm adhesion, finish, and color appearance under actual lighting. Proper preparation helps PMS 5787 C look its best and perform consistently in brand and display applications.

Can I use Pantone PMS 5787 C as a touch-up for existing painted finishes?

Pantone PMS 5787 C should not be used as a touch-up reference for existing finishes. Pantone PMS colors define color targets but do not specify sheen, substrate, or the original finishing process, which are all critical for a true touch-up match. Variations in gloss, texture, or the underlying material can result in visible differences, even when color is matched. To maintain visual consistency, use PMS 5787 C as a standard for new brand-facing components and not as a touch-up solution.

How do I use samples of PMS 5787 C in my brand approval or project workflow?

Before ordering larger quantities or committing to fabrication, request a sample of PMS 5787 C in the specific paint format and finish you intend to use. Review the sample under the actual lighting conditions and on the substrate planned for your installation. This approach allows you or your clients to approve the color appearance in context and reduce risks of mismatch, ensuring PMS 5787 C meets brand visual standards before full production.

How quickly will I receive my paint matched to Pantone PMS 5787 C?
All paint is custom-made to order. While most orders ship within 48 hours, the lead-time for paint made to match Pantone PMS 5787 C depends on the type of paint needed. Interior and exterior house paints usually ship within 1 to 3 business days, while custom spray paint typically takes 3-5 business days to ship. The transit time depends on your location and the shipping method you choose. If your need is immediate, select Expedited Production during checkout. Most expedited production orders ship within 24 hours on business days. Please contact MyPerfectColor if you are concerned about a specific deadline. We do our best to make sure you get your paint on time. Learn more about paint lead times at MyPerfectColor.
Can I use the Pantone PMS 5787 C for touch up?

Unfortunately, no.

Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.

The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.
