Pantone® PMS 576 C . Paint And Spray Paint. MyPerfectColor is the official licensee of Pantone and authorized to reproduce the Pantone Matching System colors in spray paint and other paints.

PMS 576 C is part of the Pantone Matching System (Pantone PMS), which is widely used to specify and communicate color in branding, identity, and industrial design projects requiring cross-material consistency. The color presents as a subdued, mid-dark green with an earthy character. Its overall vibe is understated, natural, controlled, versatile, and utilitarian.

- PMS 576 C appears as a moderately dark green, with a light reflectance value (LRV) of 22.93, indicating a lower reflectivity and a deeper appearance than lighter greens. - The color leans slightly cool but maintains a muted, neutral undertone, preventing it from reading overly saturated or vivid. - The chroma for PMS 576 C is moderate, resulting in a balanced saturation level—distinctly green, but far from luminous or primary. - The undertone exhibits a visible olive influence, introducing an earthy, restrained quality. - This color is moderately sensitive to finish; higher gloss can amplify the depth and slight greenish cast, while matte finishes will mute the olive character even further.

PMS 576 C performs well in environments seeking an organic or grounded color statement while retaining a branded or purposeful edge. It is suitable for identity systems, branded displays, and environmental elements where a strong but not overwhelming green is needed. Evaluate under intended lighting conditions, as this color can shift towards a more pronounced olive or earth tone in certain lamp types or natural daylight. Surface preparation should ensure smoothness, as lower LRV colors can show substrate variation more than lighter hues. When compared to generally similar muted greens, PMS 576 C typically maintains a more balanced, moderate saturation without strong blue or yellow caste.

Similar colors:
PMS 577 C: Lighter and slightly less muted, appearing softer and paler in context.

PMS 575 C: Darker and more olive, presenting a deeper, more military-inspired look.

PMS 574 C: Warmer and even earthier, tending toward a deeper, brown-inflected green.

Frequently Asked Questions About Pantone™ PMS 576 C

What are best practices for comparing PMS 576 C paint samples during brand approval?

For the most accurate judgment of PMS 576 C during approval, compare samples under consistent lighting that reflects the intended environment. Always use the same type of substrate you will use in production. Allow all PMS 576 C coatings to dry and fully cure before making a final assessment, since color and sheen can shift during this process. Viewing angle and gloss can also affect perception, so match both factors when reviewing samples. These steps help ensure high-confidence brand alignment across displays and fabricated elements.

How much area does a spray can of PMS 576 C cover, and how should I estimate my needs?

A typical spray can of PMS 576 C covers about 20 to 25 square feet per coat under ideal conditions. Coverage depends on application method, surface texture, color hiding power, and the number of coats needed for full opacity and color depth. Lower reflectance colors like PMS 576 C may require extra coats for even color, especially over contrasting bases. For branding and display projects, measure the total surface area, factor in at least two coats, and allow extra material for complex shapes or absorbent substrates.

How do I make sure I order the correct Pantone PMS 576 C paint?

To avoid mistakes, always use the exact code 'PMS 576 C' when specifying this color for your project. Color names alone can sometimes cause confusion, so referencing the full code including the 'C' suffix ensures you receive the standard target used in branding. Double-check any requirements in your documentation or brand guidelines. If you need a different finish or product format, specify this clearly at time of order to maintain brand consistency for PMS 576 C.

Which paint type should I choose for PMS 576 C if my project is outdoors versus indoors?

The optimal paint type for PMS 576 C depends on where your branded element will be located. For interior applications, select paint formulated for indoor substrates, where environmental exposure is minimal. For exterior use, choose a paint rated for outdoor durability to withstand weathering and maintain brand color integrity. Always match the paint type to the project location to achieve long-lasting, visually accurate results for PMS 576 C.

How quickly will I receive my paint matched to Pantone PMS 576 C?
All paint is custom-made to order. While most orders ship within 48 hours, the lead-time for paint made to match Pantone PMS 576 C depends on the type of paint needed. Interior and exterior house paints usually ship within 1 to 3 business days, while custom spray paint typically takes 3-5 business days to ship. The transit time depends on your location and the shipping method you choose. If your need is immediate, select Expedited Production during checkout. Most expedited production orders ship within 24 hours on business days. Please contact MyPerfectColor if you are concerned about a specific deadline. We do our best to make sure you get your paint on time. Learn more about paint lead times at MyPerfectColor.
Can I use the Pantone PMS 576 C for touch up?

Unfortunately, no.

Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.

The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.

While MyPerfectColor can provide PMS 576 C in paint, we don't provide any crossover information.
