Pantone™ PMS 571 C

To maintain consistency with PMS 571 C across multiple orders or reorders, always use the same product type, sheen, and application method. It is recommended to use the same Pantone PMS reference for approval with every batch. Avoid switching between finishes, materials, or formats to reduce visual deviations. Environmental factors such as lighting and substrate can also affect the perceived color, so test a sample under your actual viewing conditions before full-scale application.

PMS 571 C is a light and muted mint hue, which can be less opaque than deeper colors. For most brand and marketing uses, plan for at least two coats to achieve full hide and even color. Applying PMS 571 C over a white or similarly light undercoat improves both coverage and color accuracy, especially if the substrate is dark or uneven. Proper priming helps ensure a visually uniform result and minimizes substrate show-through.

When using PMS 571 C for retail installations or pop-up environments, consider the durability needs of your project and the type of customer interaction expected. Always evaluate the color under the actual lighting in the space, since cool white lighting will make it appear crisper, while warm lighting may mute the effect. Test a sample on your actual substrate before large-scale application to confirm both color appearance and finish durability meet your expectations.

The sheen you choose for PMS 571 C can change how the color looks. Higher gloss finishes will make the mint color appear brighter and a bit more saturated, while matte finishes give a softer, less reflective look. Select sheen based on the visual effect you want, the substrate you are painting, and how close viewers will be. For high-traffic or high-visibility areas, a slightly higher sheen may also improve cleanability and perceived sharpness of brand colors.

Unfortunately, no.

Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.

The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.

The 11oz spray will cover about 20 square feet per coat. Keep in mind that it is difficult to gauge how much spray you'll need as it is highly dependent on how it is applied. It is better to have too much than run short.

We've found that every paint company offers its own unique selection of colors and rarely does a color have an exact equivalent in another company's color collection, especially for a color collection like Pantone which is designed for bright colors and inks.
