PMS 5645 C is a standard color within the Pantone Matching System (PMS), used to specify consistent color for branding, signage, and display manufacturing. The color presents a muted, restrained, and technical vibe with an understated and professional appearance. Its mid-level lightness and gentle green hue make it suitable for visually calm and approachable applications, especially where a subtle but deliberate color presence is needed.

PMS 5645 C appears as a medium-light green with an LRV of 48.28, falling in the midrange for reflectance.

The color has a cool tendency, influenced by its green hue with subtle blue undertones.

PMS 5645 C exhibits low to moderate saturation, presenting a muted and quiet character rather than vivid or bright.

This color carries a noticeable gray undertone, keeping it from appearing overly vibrant or stark.

The color’s appearance can shift with lighting and finish; flat or matte finishes will reduce its visual depth, while satin or gloss may enhance its subtle green character.

PMS 5645 C is effective in brand and display projects seeking a subdued, cool green that avoids both harshness and obvious warmth. It generally maintains visual consistency under standard lighting but may appear grayer or slightly bluer in low or cool ambient light. Accurate color evaluation is important, as finish and sheen influence its subdued character. Compared to other similar greens, PMS 5645 C stands out for its muted, less saturated appearance, making it suitable in environments where a restrained color is preferred over bold or vivid hues.

Similar colors:

  • PMS 564 C: Slightly lighter and less muted, resulting in a fresher and more delicate green impression.
  • PMS 565 C: Lighter and cooler, leaning further toward a pastel, airy quality.
  • PMS 566 C: Even lighter and less saturated, creating a soft, nearly neutral green appearance.
  • PMS 625 C: Darker and more chromatic, introducing a denser and deeper green with less gray influence.

Frequently Asked Questions About Pantone™ PMS 5645 C

Can PMS 5645 C be directly converted to a color from another paint brand?

PMS 5645 C is defined within the Pantone Matching System and is used as a color target for brand consistency. Most paint brands have unique palettes, and there is no exact or universal conversion from PMS 5645 C to other brands' colors. Attempting to cross-reference may result in visible differences, especially with nuanced or muted tones. For branded applications or visual accuracy, it is important to specify PMS 5645 C directly and avoid substituting a different manufacturer's code.

What lead time should I expect when ordering paint matched to PMS 5645 C?

PMS 5645 C paint is made to order, so typical lead time depends on the selected product type and current production volume. Spray paint and related formats generally require several business days for formulation and production before shipping. For urgent projects, it is best to order early and allow additional time for custom mixing and quality checks, especially if multiple containers or specialty finishes are required.

How is PMS 5645 C typically used in sign and display fabrication?

PMS 5645 C is often specified as a brand color for signage, displays, and exhibits. It provides a consistent color target across vendors and substrates. Fabricators commonly use paint matched to PMS 5645 C for panels, structures, and components where uniform brand appearance is required. Evaluating samples on the actual substrate and in the intended lighting ensures visual alignment with brand expectations before full production.

Is PMS 5645 C paint suitable if I need to match an existing product for detailed touch-up work?

PMS 5645 C is matched to serve as a brand color reference for new fabrication or marketing uses. If your goal is to match an existing product for close-up or seamless touch-up, it is best to send a physical sample of the part for precise color matching. This ensures the new coating accounts for aging, texture, and finish, which a standard PMS 5645 C reference alone cannot replicate for spot blending.

How quickly will I receive my paint matched to Pantone PMS 5645 C?
All paint is custom-made to order. While most orders ship within 48 hours, the lead-time for paint made to match Pantone PMS 5645 C depends on the type of paint needed. Interior and exterior house paints usually ship within 1 to 3 business days, while custom spray paint typically takes 3-5 business days to ship. The transit time depends on your location and the shipping method you choose. If your need is immediate, select Expedited Production during checkout. Most expedited production orders ship within 24 hours on business days. Please contact MyPerfectColor if you are concerned about a specific deadline. We do our best to make sure you get your paint on time. Learn more about paint lead times at MyPerfectColor.
Can I use the Pantone PMS 5645 C for touch up?

Unfortunately, no.

Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.

The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.
