PMS 541 C is part of the Pantone PMS (Pantone Matching System) collection. This color conveys a vibe that is authoritative, corporate, technical, professional, and highly visible. The color is used when brand consistency and visual reliability are priorities across marketing displays and brand environments.
PMS 541 C appears distinctly dark, with a low LRV of 3.8, indicating minimal light reflectance. The color leans cool, with a blue hue that is closer to true blue than to teal or purple. PMS 541 C shows moderate to high chroma, resulting in strong, assertive color saturation. The undertone is purely blue with no evident green or violet shift, even under varying lighting. This color can show increased depth or intensity based on finish; gloss surfaces will heighten its vibrancy, while matte finishes may cause it to appear slightly flatter.
PMS 541 C is frequently associated with signage, trade show booths, and corporate displays where a deep, consistent blue is specified for brand equity. The color is often used on branded fixtures and architectural elements in environments requiring a recognizable, professional appearance.
PMS 541 C is most effective where a prominent, dependable deep blue is essential to uphold brand or institutional presence. For best results, assess the color under actual lighting and on the intended substrate to ensure the blue does not appear overly dark or lose its chromatic presence. Given its depth, coverage may require multiple coats, particularly over light-colored substrates or on highly porous materials. Among dark blues, PMS 541 C distinguishes itself by avoiding green or inky undertones, remaining neutral-cool across application environments.
This Pantone PMS color is defined by the Pantone Matching System standard. Evaluate the color using a physical Pantone reference and a real paint sample in the intended lighting and finish. Paint appearance varies by finish and lighting.

Ordering PMS 541 C as a Pantone match means you are specifying a paint color by referencing the Pantone PMS 541 C standard. This is a visual color target defined by Pantone for consistent color reproduction across vendors and materials. It is not a paint formula, a guarantee of a specific coating composition, or a specification for gloss or texture. The goal is to deliver a coating that visually aligns with PMS 541 C as evaluated against a physical Pantone reference, but results may vary depending on substrate, finish, and lighting. Always confirm appearance in context before using for brand-sensitive applications.
Sampling PMS 541 C paint is strongly recommended if your project involves large, high-visibility brand displays, permanent installations, or approval workflows where exact color appearance matters. Sampling helps you evaluate the color on your actual substrate, under your lighting, and in the intended finish. This is especially important for deep, saturated blues like PMS 541 C, since appearance can shift with lighting and surface type. Testing a sample before full production can help prevent brand compliance issues and unexpected results.
The surface texture can noticeably affect how PMS 541 C appears. Glossy or smooth finishes will make this deep blue look more vibrant and saturated, while matte or textured surfaces may cause the color to appear slightly lighter, flatter, or less intense. Shadows from rough textures can also influence perceived color depth. For accurate brand results, assess PMS 541 C on the chosen substrate and finish under typical lighting to ensure the color meets your expectations.
If you are unsure about the right product for PMS 541 C, you can contact MyPerfectColor with details about your substrate, application environment, and finish requirements. This will help you select the most suitable paint type and format for your project, whether you need spray paint for display work or another format for branding and marketing installations. Providing this information ensures a more successful and visually consistent result.
Unfortunately, no.
Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.
The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.

While MyPerfectColor can provide PMS 541 C in paint, we don't provide any crossover information. We've found that every paint company offers its own unique selection of colors and rarely does a color have an exact equivalent in another company's color collection, especially for a color collection like Pantone which is designed for bright colors and inks.
