PMS 5395 C, from the Pantone PMS collection, is a nearly-black, extremely dark blue with a mature, authoritative, and restrained vibe. The color is widely viewed as formal, technical, understated, and grounding. PMS 5395 C is engineered for specification fidelity and is often chosen to convey depth, seriousness, and consistency in branding and graphic communication applications.
PMS 5395 C is extremely dark, with a very low LRV of 1.56. The color appears cool, dominated by a blue hue with slight neutrality. PMS 5395 C exhibits low to moderate chroma, making it muted rather than vibrant. The color has an undertone that feels softened by a slight black or neutralizing component. PMS 5395 C can appear nearly black except under strong lighting and is sensitive to finish; glossier applications may enhance its blue character while matte finishes make it read as deeper and more muted.
PMS 5395 C is frequently used in brand standards for professional services and corporate identity assets. The color is often specified in signage or exhibit components where a stable, non-tint-sensitive blue is needed.
PMS 5395 C is effective for environments and applications where a discreet, commanding blue is desired. It works well when a color close to black is preferred without the starkness of true black. Users should be aware that its very low reflectance means surface imperfections and inconsistent coverage may be more visible in certain finishes. To achieve uniformity, high-build priming and multiple coats are recommended, especially over lighter substrates. Compared to similar dark blues, PMS 5395 C reads as slightly less saturated and more neutral, reducing the risk of unexpected color casts under varied lighting conditions.

PMS 296 C is just as dark but registers as slightly cooler and more neutral.
PMS 533 C is somewhat lighter with more chromatic blue, delivering greater vibrancy and less muted depth.

PMS 5395 C is a very deep, nearly-black blue specified for brand and marketing environments. Achieving an accurate match in paint requires careful process control because Pantone references are designed for consistent reproduction across different materials. MyPerfectColor specializes in matching PMS 5395 C as closely as possible, but users should be aware that finish, lighting, and substrate can influence the final appearance. Glossy finishes may make the blue character more evident, while matte finishes can deepen the perceived color. If color-critical approval is required for a large or highly visible project, request a sample for review under site lighting conditions.
When specifying PMS 5395 C, select a paint type that matches the environment in which your project will be used. For interior displays, exhibit components, or brand experiences, interior-grade paints and finishes are suitable. For outdoor signage, displays, or anything exposed to weather, choose an exterior-rated paint to ensure color durability and resistance to environmental conditions. Be sure to specify the use case when ordering so the correct formulation and finish can be recommended for PMS 5395 C.
Safety and handling considerations for PMS 5395 C paint products depend on the paint type and format selected, such as spray paint, house paint, or specialty coatings. Always review the Safety Data Sheet for your chosen product and use appropriate protective equipment and ventilation. Follow all product-specific guidance for application and clean-up. If you have particular safety requirements or restrictions, indicate these when placing your order so options that align with your needs can be discussed.
Ordering a standard PMS 5395 C paint match is appropriate for most marketing, exhibit, prototype, and display applications where your goal is to visually align with the Pantone PMS reference. This approach is ideal for brand-facing signage, event builds, and installations where specification of the PMS code defines the expected outcome. If you require confirmation for highly visible, permanent, or multi-material applications, or if project approval depends on installed appearance, consider ordering a sample first.
Unfortunately, no.
Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.
The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.

MyPerfectColor custom spray paint enables you to conveniently achieve a professional spray-smooth finish in any color in any sheen. It sticks well to most surfaces including metal, plastics, powder-coatings, cabinets and primed or previously painted wood.

While MyPerfectColor can provide PMS 5395 C in paint, we don't provide any crossover information. We've found that every paint company offers its own unique selection of colors and rarely does a color have an exact equivalent in another company's color collection, especially for a color collection like Pantone which is designed for bright colors and inks.
