Pantone™ PMS 533 C

The texture of your surface can change how PMS 533 C appears after application. Glossy, smooth surfaces often make this deep blue look darker and more saturated, emphasizing its near-black depth. On matte or rough textures, PMS 533 C will appear slightly lighter and less intense due to diffused light and increased shadowing. Consider texture when selecting product and finish, especially for applications where brand accuracy and visual consistency are priorities.

PMS 533 C is a very dark, cool blue with low light reflectance. Surfaces may require additional coats to achieve uniform coverage, especially over light or high-contrast substrates. Using a deep gray or tinted undercoat can help reduce the number of coats needed and achieve better hide. Planning for multiple coats and the right undercoat will help deliver a visually consistent brand result with PMS 533 C, especially on display or signage elements.

PMS 533 C is a Pantone standard and does not reliably convert to other paint brands' color codes. Each brand has its own palette, and cross-references often result in visible mismatches, especially with deep, subdued hues like PMS 533 C. For brand consistency, always specify PMS 533 C directly and avoid using supposed equivalents from non-Pantone collections.

Shipping transit times for PMS 533 C paint depend on both your delivery location and the shipping method you select at checkout. Standard and expedited services will have different timelines, and remote areas may require additional days. It is best to order early and allow extra time if your project has brand or marketing deadlines to ensure PMS 533 C arrives when needed.

Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.

The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.

The 11oz spray will cover about 20 square feet per coat. Keep in mind that it is difficult to gauge how much spray you'll need as it is highly dependent on how it is applied. It is better to have too much than run short.
