Pantone™ PMS 5035 C

When using Pantone PMS 5035 C in pop-up or retail environments, durability, lighting, and sampling are key considerations. Evaluate the typical lighting at the installation site because PMS 5035 C may appear warmer or lighter under certain conditions. For durable results, select a paint format and finish appropriate for how the element will be handled or cleaned. Always test the paint on a sample substrate in the planned environment before large-scale production to confirm appearance and performance. This helps ensure visual alignment with your brand standards across installed elements.

Not all plastics or low-energy surfaces accept paint readily. When specifying PMS 5035 C for plastics, first confirm the surface type and whether a primer is needed to promote adhesion. Many plastics require specific primers or surface treatments. Test PMS 5035 C paint on a sample of the actual material before final production to verify both adhesion and color appearance, as plastics can affect how the color is perceived and how well it bonds.

Pantone books serve as reference standards for color targets, but PMS 5035 C paint may look different from the swatch, especially depending on sheen, finish, and substrate. Factors like gloss level and substrate material can alter the perceived warmth or depth of PMS 5035 C. For brand-critical or high-visibility projects, always compare painted samples to the Pantone reference in your actual lighting conditions and on the final material before full production.

The coverage for a spray can of PMS 5035 C depends on surface texture, color, and the number of coats needed. As a general guide, one 11-12 ounce spray can may cover about 20 square feet with one coat on a smooth, primed surface. Highly absorbent or textured materials, or projects requiring multiple coats for uniform color, may require more paint. Always account for these factors in your quantity estimates to avoid running short during installation.

Unfortunately, no.

Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.

The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.
