For display or branding environments, proper cleaning and priming of the surface are critical to promote adhesion and resistance to wear. High-traffic or outdoor settings may require a more durable paint system or additional topcoat for better protection against abrasion, moisture, or UV. Choose the paint system that matches your exposure requirements, and consider if the installation will face heavy handling or weathering. Always test to confirm the combination fits your project needs.

For best results with PMS 5025 C, surface preparation is essential. Ensure all surfaces are clean, free of dust, grease, or oils, and dry. For most projects, lightly scuff sanding smooth surfaces can improve adhesion, followed by wiping with a suitable cleaner to remove debris. If painting over a previous coating, confirm compatibility and adhesion with a small test area before proceeding. Good prep reduces the risk of uneven appearance and helps the PMS 5025 C color perform as intended in branding and display uses.

The appearance of PMS 5025 C can shift noticeably depending on lighting conditions. This color has a muted rose undertone with some gray, making it sensitive to both finish and ambient light. Viewing the final sample under the intended lighting is strongly recommended, as fluorescent, LED, and daylight sources may each affect the warmth or vibrance of the color. For branding, evaluate PMS 5025 C on the actual substrate in the actual display environment to confirm visual alignment with brand standards.

PMS 5025 C, as a mid-light muted rose, may require thoughtful undercoat selection for best coverage and visual uniformity. Using a white or light gray primer can help achieve target opacity more efficiently, especially if painting over dark or uneven surfaces. Multiple coats might be needed to fully mask the substrate, as some Pantone colors in this family offer less hide per coat. Plan for at least two coats and evaluate coverage after drying to ensure PMS 5025 C looks consistent and brand-correct.

Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.

The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.
