Pantone™ PMS 4665 C

Pantone books are industry reference standards printed on coated or uncoated paper using controlled inks. When you order PMS 4665 C as paint, there can be differences in appearance because paint interacts with substrates and finishes in ways that differ from ink on paper. Sheen (matte, satin, gloss) and the material you are painting can affect perceived color and reflectance. For best accuracy, compare painted samples to your Pantone book under the same lighting that will be used in your final environment. Always confirm the appearance with a sample on your actual material when visual match is critical.

Sampling PMS 4665 C is strongly recommended if your project involves large branded environments, high-visibility installations, or formal brand approvals. Variations in lighting and substrate can affect how PMS 4665 C appears compared to printed references. By sampling first, you can confirm that the color meets your brand's expectations when applied to your actual materials and under your intended lighting conditions before committing to full-scale production.

When using PMS 4665 C in pop-up or retail installations, focus on durability, consistency, and evaluating color under installation lighting. Different finishes (matte, satin, gloss) may alter the visual character of PMS 4665 C, so test samples in your actual space to confirm appearance and gloss level. For high-traffic or high-contact areas, select a durable finish appropriate for the substrate. Sampling helps ensure PMS 4665 C performs as expected under real-world conditions before you proceed with a large application.

Many plastics and low-surface-energy materials, such as polyethylene or polypropylene, may need special surface preparation before applying PMS 4665 C paint. Using a compatible adhesion promoter or primer can be essential for long-term durability. Always test PMS 4665 C on your specific plastic or low-energy material with the intended primer and paint system before full production to verify adhesion and final appearance.

Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.

The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.

The 11oz spray will cover about 20 square feet per coat. Keep in mind that it is difficult to gauge how much spray you'll need as it is highly dependent on how it is applied. It is better to have too much than run short.

We've found that every paint company offers its own unique selection of colors and rarely does a color have an exact equivalent in another company's color collection, especially for a color collection like Pantone which is designed for bright colors and inks.
