PMS 3935 C is part of the Pantone PMS (Pantone Matching System) collection, primarily used for brand, display, and marketing purposes requiring precision color matching. The color projects a bright, clean, energetic, and highly visible vibe with a distinctly luminous and contemporary presence.
- PMS 3935 C exhibits a very high lightness, with an LRV of 80.7. - The color presents as a warm, yellow-tinted hue. - It appears highly saturated and vivid, especially under direct lighting. - PMS 3935 C displays a pronounced yellow undertone. - This color is notably sensitive to finish; higher gloss can heighten its vibrancy and visibility, while matte can make it appear softer.
- PMS 3935 C is frequently used for branded signage, promotional displays, and retail activations requiring a bright and attention-getting yellow. - The color is sometimes specified for safety applications, where high visibility and distinguishability are prioritized.
PMS 3935 C works particularly well where very high visibility and brand distinctiveness are required, especially in marketing activations or display environments. It is important to assess this color under actual lighting and intended sheen, as both can meaningfully affect the perceived brightness and saturation. Compared to similar colors, PMS 3935 C is lighter and more vibrant, and may require more coats or appropriate undercoats for uniform coverage due to its high lightness and saturation. Caution is warranted on substrates or in environments where subtlety is preferred, as the color's brightness can dominate a visual field.
This Pantone PMS color is defined by the Pantone Matching System standard. Evaluate the color using a physical Pantone reference and a real paint sample in the intended lighting and finish. Paint appearance varies by finish and lighting.

Pantone PMS 3935 C can be ordered as custom spray paint, paint pens, brush-in-cap bottles, and various professional coatings depending on your application needs. When selecting a format, consider your project's scale, the material to be coated, and the desired finish. Spray paint is often used for display components and signage, while paint pens and brush-in-cap bottles are typically chosen for small prototypes or detailed branding work. Be sure to confirm that the format supports your required surface and application method before ordering.
Safety and VOC considerations for Pantone PMS 3935 C matched paint depend on the specific product type you choose, such as spray, pen, or liquid coating. Always review the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) provided with your selected format and follow all recommended handling, ventilation, and personal protection practices. Using paint in a well-ventilated area and wearing appropriate protective equipment is especially important for spray formats and solvent-based coatings.
To accurately evaluate a Pantone PMS 3935 C paint sample, compare the painted surface to an official Pantone reference under the same lighting conditions where it will be displayed. Use the actual substrate and intended finish, since sheen and material can affect perception. Allow the paint to fully dry and cure before making any approval decisions, as color may shift slightly as it dries. Consistency in these steps is key for reliable color approval.
Whether you need a primer for Pantone PMS 3935 C depends on the paint type, the surface you are coating, and the expected exposure. Because PMS 3935 C is a very light and vivid yellow, using a primer can help with adhesion and coverage, especially over darker surfaces or non-porous materials. Consult the primer recommendations for your chosen paint format and substrate to achieve the best color fidelity and durability.
Unfortunately, no.
Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.
The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.

While MyPerfectColor can provide PMS 3935 C in paint, we don't provide any crossover information. We've found that every paint company offers its own unique selection of colors and rarely does a color have an exact equivalent in another company's color collection, especially for a color collection like Pantone which is designed for bright colors and inks.
