PMS 387 C from the Pantone PMS system is recognized for its vivid, fresh yellow-green appearance that conveys energy, visibility, and vibrancy. This color has a light reflectance value (LRV) of 74.16, contributing to a visually prominent and luminous effect in branded or display contexts. The overall vibe is clean, technical, energetic, and assertive, with high chromatic intensity and a noticeable coolness due to its green undertone.
PMS 387 C appears distinctly light and luminous (LRV 74.16). The color displays a cool tendency, leaning more toward green in the yellow-green spectrum. PMS 387 C exhibits high saturation, yielding a pure, vivid color presence. This color carries a noticeable yellow undertone, moderated by prominent green. PMS 387 C is highly sensitive to finish; gloss or satin finishes will amplify its brightness and vibrancy, while matte finishes may slightly mute the perceived chroma.
PMS 387 C is frequently used where visibility and instant brand recognition are primary concerns, especially for wayfinding, display graphics, or marketing installations demanding attention. The color is commonly referenced in exhibit and event branding for components intended to stand out against neutral backgrounds.
PMS 387 C works well when a bright, attention-getting yellow-green is needed for branding, signage, or fabrication, especially in areas requiring high contrast and clarity. It is important to evaluate this color under the specific lighting and finish conditions in which it will be used, as both can significantly affect its visual impact and readability. Due to its high saturation and lightness, coverage may require multiple coats, particularly over darker substrates. PMS 387 C can shift perceptually based on adjacent materials, so pretesting in the application context is recommended.
This Pantone PMS color is defined by the Pantone Matching System standard. Evaluate the color using a physical Pantone reference and a real paint sample in the intended lighting and finish. Paint appearance varies by finish and lighting.

Pantone PMS 387 C is often specified as a brand color standard in fabrication projects where consistent color is critical, such as signage, display graphics, and exhibit elements. Using this color helps achieve visual consistency across different materials and production runs. For best results, evaluate PMS 387 C on your actual substrate and under installation lighting. Sampling before production helps confirm that the finished result meets brand expectations, as high-saturation colors like PMS 387 C can look different depending on sheen and base material.
The Safety Data Sheet (SDS) for paint in Pantone PMS 387 C is determined by the paint type and format you select, not the color code itself. After choosing your desired paint product, visit the SDS library on the site or refer to the specific product page. Select the correct SDS based on the exact paint or coating you plan to order in PMS 387 C.
For projects where brand approval is required, order a sample of PMS 387 C in your intended finish and apply it to the actual substrate to be used in the final installation. Evaluate the color under the lighting conditions of the project site. Reviewing a physical sample of PMS 387 C ensures that all stakeholders can confirm color accuracy before full production, minimizing risk and costly rework.

However, always confirm current usage with your brand guidelines or specific project requirements.
Unfortunately, no.
Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.
The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.
