PMS 382 C is part of the Pantone PMS system, dedicated to standardized color matching across branding, fabrication, and industrial design. It is visually vivid, energetic, and contemporary, tending toward a fresh, active, and attention-getting vibe. The color is most often described as a bright, yellow-shifted green with prominent vibrancy, commonly specified for environments that require immediate visual impact and brand distinction.
PMS 382 C presents as a medium-light color; it has substantial brightness (LRV 56.68). The color is visually warm for a green, with a distinct yellow undertone. PMS 382 C is highly saturated, delivering a strong, unmistakable presence. The undertone is a bold, zesty yellow-green, enhancing its intensity under neutral lighting. Finish selection impacts perceived saturation and brightness, especially in gloss or matte; higher gloss may further emphasize vibrancy.
PMS 382 C is frequently specified for branded retail fixtures, displays, and point-of-purchase elements where high visual energy is required. The color is often used in corporate and sports branding when a memorable, contemporary green accent is needed.
PMS 382 C is operationally effective when a distinctive, high-visibility color is required in branded environments, retail spaces, or marketing displays. Evaluate this color under the intended lighting since its brightness and yellow-green undertone can shift noticeably depending on ambient warmth or coolness. For projects seeking a consistent, saturated color appearance, ensure surface priming and even application, as vivid greens may show unevenness or reduced hide over dark or uneven surfaces. When specifying, PMS 382 C stands out more than many conventional greens, lacking the subtlety of deeper or more neutral options.
This Pantone PMS color is defined by the Pantone Matching System standard. Evaluate the color using a physical Pantone reference and a real paint sample in the intended lighting and finish. Paint appearance varies by finish and lighting.

It has been cited as an accent for brands emphasizing sustainability or eco-initiatives and is frequently seen in retail displays, packaging, and sports merchandising. When applying Pantone PMS 382 C to plastics or low-surface-energy materials, compatibility and adhesion are critical. Not all plastics accept paint equally; some require specialty primers or surface treatments for proper adhesion. It is strongly recommended to test PMS 382 C on the actual plastic or material before full production. Surface cleaning and priming improve results and help avoid peeling or uneven coverage, especially with highly saturated colors like PMS 382 C. Always use the correct prep and primer combination based on your specific substrate to achieve the best finish and durability.
Pantone PMS 382 C is often specified for prototypes and concept models where accurate visual brand alignment matters. Using PMS 382 C in these workflows lets teams evaluate how actual parts, displays, or products will appear in branded environments. It is important to select the paint format that matches the prototype material and intended display context, such as spray paint for broad coverage or paint pens for detail work. Always compare the finished prototype under realistic lighting against a physical Pantone reference to ensure the expected result before moving forward with production or presentation.
The choice between matte and gloss for Pantone PMS 382 C affects how the color will be perceived in your branded application. Gloss finishes increase saturation and brightness, making the color more intense but may show glare under direct lighting. Matte reduces glare and provides a softer look but can mute vibrancy. Consider the lighting and viewing distance in your environment: gloss is often chosen for maximum visual impact at a distance, while matte works well where reflection control is needed up close. Test samples in your location if final appearance is critical.
Unfortunately, no.
Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.
The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.

While MyPerfectColor can provide PMS 382 C in paint, we don't provide any crossover information.
