PMS 350 C is part of the Pantone PMS collection, used for consistent color specification in branding, display fabrication, and industrial design. This color conveys an understated, professional, and authentic vibe with strong visual weight, and is associated with institutional, durable, and heritage-driven aesthetics.

PMS 350 C appears very dark, with notably low light reflectance (LRV 4.75). The color is cool-toned due to its dominant green hue and subtle blue influence. It exhibits low to moderate chroma, resulting in a muted and desaturated appearance rather than a vivid one. An underlying muted green undertone is present throughout, giving the color a forest-like, almost neutral feel. This color’s depth and muted saturation make it somewhat sensitive to lighting and finish, with glossy surfaces potentially enhancing perceived depth.

PMS 350 C is frequently associated with university branding and athletic departments as a deep green accent. The color is often used in government signage, park wayfinding elements, and branded environments where a subdued, serious green is needed.

PMS 350 C works well in projects requiring a visually strong but not overly assertive green, such as backgrounds, accents, and branding displays where a grounded effect is desired. The color’s darkness and muted chromaticity allow it to pair cleanly with whites, golds, and bright accent colors, though it can appear nearly black under low lighting. When specifying this color, confirm the effect in the intended lighting and finish, as its depth and green character may become more or less pronounced depending on environmental conditions and sheen level. In comparison to similar dark greens, PMS 350 C reads as slightly cooler and less saturated.

This Pantone PMS color is defined by the Pantone Matching System standard. Evaluate the color using a physical Pantone reference and a real paint sample in the intended lighting and finish. Paint appearance varies by finish and lighting.

Frequently Asked Questions About Pantone™ PMS 350 C

What are the challenges of matching Pantone PMS 350 C accurately in paint and how does MyPerfectColor address these?

Pantone PMS 350 C, like many Pantone colors, is defined by the Pantone Matching System and not by a paint formula. Factors such as base material, lighting conditions, and finish can affect how closely a paint matches PMS 350 C. Very deep and muted hues may appear darker or less green depending on substrate and light. MyPerfectColor produces paint versions of PMS 350 C by referencing the official Pantone standard and uses visual checks against physical samples. For critical projects, always compare a painted sample to your Pantone reference in the actual lighting and finish being used in the project.

Should I choose a matte or gloss finish for my PMS 350 C paint project?

The right finish for PMS 350 C depends on viewing conditions and visual goals. Matte finish reduces glare and can minimize visual distractions, especially in well-lit spaces or up-close applications. Gloss finish enhances the depth and perceived saturation of PMS 350 C, and may make the green appear richer and darker, especially under direct lighting. However, gloss can create unwanted reflections in some installations. Review a painted sample of PMS 350 C in your intended lighting and context before finalizing your finish choice.

Can I convert Pantone PMS 350 C to a standard paint company color?

Pantone PMS 350 C is defined by Pantone as a unique brand color that is not directly convertible to another paint manufacturer''s color code. Most paint brands have their own proprietary palettes that do not align exactly with Pantone standards, especially for specific shades like PMS 350 C. For projects where brand color consistency is required, order paint explicitly matched to the PMS 350 C standard rather than relying on approximate cross-references.

Where can I find the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) for paint made in Pantone PMS 350 C?

The SDS for paint made in Pantone PMS 350 C is based on the specific paint type and formulation, not the color itself. To access the correct SDS, identify the product type (such as spray paint, acrylic, or urethane) you are using in PMS 350 C, and refer to the SDS library provided for that product. If you need the SDS for a particular format, locate it by navigating to the product page or contacting support with your order details.

How quickly will I receive my paint matched to Pantone PMS 350 C?

Can I use the Pantone PMS 350 C for touch up?

Unfortunately, no.

Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.

The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.

While MyPerfectColor can provide PMS 350 C in paint, we don't provide any crossover information.
