PMS 3405 C is a standard color in the Pantone PMS collection, recognized for its vivid appearance and widespread use in environments where color consistency is critical. This color presents as energetic, professional, and assertive, with a cool undertone and noticeable chromatic intensity. Its visual character aligns with applications demanding attention while maintaining a level of brand-appropriate restraint.
PMS 3405 C appears moderately dark, with a numeric LRV of 28.12. The color has a distinctly cool tendency. PMS 3405 C is highly saturated, resulting in strong visual impact. The undertone is clean, with a consistent cool green base and no evident yellow or blue bias. The color may show some sensitivity to finish, with higher gloss finishes amplifying intensity.
PMS 3405 C works well in contexts where consistent, highly recognizable green branding is specified, such as signage, displays, fixtures, and branded environments. It should be evaluated under intended lighting conditions; saturation and depth can appear stronger in glossy or semi-gloss finishes. As with other strongly saturated colors, coverage may require more coats for uniformity, especially over contrasting base colors. In practice, PMS 3405 C is more saturated and defined than many generic greens, so it is important to confirm appearance on the target substrate before commitment.

PMS 3405 C can appear different across materials such as metal, plastic, or wood due to the way each substrate absorbs paint, reflects light, and displays color. Surface texture, gloss level, and material color underneath all affect the final appearance. To ensure your implementation of PMS 3405 C meets your expectations, always evaluate a sample on the exact material and finish intended for your project.
For brand approval processes involving PMS 3405 C, order a small sample in the intended paint type and apply it to the actual substrate you will use. Review the color under the final installation lighting. This allows stakeholders to sign off based on real-world appearance and avoids surprises when scaling up to larger production runs or installations.
Yes, PMS 3405 C is a highly saturated green and may require additional coats to achieve full, even coverage, especially when painting over light or highly contrasting surfaces. Planning for extra coats helps ensure that PMS 3405 C displays with its intended vibrancy and consistency across the project.

Unfortunately, no.
Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.
The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.

While MyPerfectColor can provide PMS 3405 C in paint, we don't provide any crossover information. We've found that every paint company offers its own unique selection of colors and rarely does a color have an exact equivalent in another company's color collection, especially for a color collection like Pantone which is designed for bright colors and inks.
