Pantone™ PMS 333 C

PMS 333 C is a bright, saturated aqua, and colors in this range often show lower hide compared to more muted shades. For the best results and to achieve uniform visual coverage, it is recommended to apply PMS 333 C over a smooth, white primed base. This approach improves opacity and limits the risk of uneven color appearance, especially on dark or contrasting substrates. Plan for the possibility of applying extra coats, particularly if high brand visibility or consistent color is critical to your application.

Proper surface preparation is key for successful results with PMS 333 C. Clean all surfaces thoroughly to remove dust, grease, or contaminants. Degrease if needed, and lightly scuff glossy or smooth areas to promote better adhesion. Be sure the surface is dry and free of loose material before painting. For best results, test a small spot with the paint to confirm adhesion and color appearance in your actual setting before proceeding with the full application.

The finish you select for PMS 333 C can significantly affect how the color looks in your final application. Gloss finishes will make PMS 333 C appear more vibrant and can intensify its saturated look, while matte or flat finishes will yield a softer, more muted effect. Satin options provide a middle ground between clarity and subtlety. Always evaluate finish options under your actual lighting to ensure the visual impact matches your brand or display needs.

For brand-facing projects or high-visibility displays using PMS 333 C, it is recommended to order a paint sample first. Evaluating the color as a sample under your intended lighting conditions and on the real substrate allows you to confirm color accuracy, finish, and any coverage characteristics. This step supports brand approval workflows and helps avoid surprises in large production or installation phases.

Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.

The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.

The 11oz spray will cover about 20 square feet per coat. Keep in mind that it is difficult to gauge how much spray you'll need as it is highly dependent on how it is applied. It is better to have too much than run short.
