PMS 3302 C is a Pantone Matching System (PMS) color from the Pantone PMS collection, known for its rich, highly saturated dark teal green appearance. The color conveys a technical, assertive, and modern vibe, frequently chosen for its visual strength, clarity, and professional connotation. With very low light reflectance (LRV: 4.1), it projects depth and prominence on both coated and uncoated materials.

PMS 3302 C appears very dark in tone; its low LRV means it absorbs most ambient light. The color reads as cool, with blue-green undertones dominant over any yellow or warm hues. Saturation is high, giving it noticeable chromatic intensity on most substrates. The undertone is distinctly teal, balancing green with a defined blue presence. This color is sensitive to finish: gloss surfaces will intensify its saturation and depth, while matte or flat finishes may soften its visual impact.

PMS 3302 C is often used in display fabrication and branded environments where a deep, assertive color presence is needed. The color is specified in some brand identity systems for logos, signage, and marketing displays where technical or institutional imagery is desired.

PMS 3302 C works effectively where strong, confident branding or environmental graphics are required and is especially impactful on flat, well-prepared surfaces. It should be applied with attention to substrate and finish selection, as the deep tone can reveal application imperfections or uneven coverage—multiple coats may be necessary for uniformity. In comparison to similarly dark teals, PMS 3302 C tends to display a cooler, more technical hue with minimal warmth, ensuring distinctiveness in professional or industrial brand palettes.

PMS 3305 C: Lighter and less saturated, appearing less intense and less deep on the substrate.

PMS 5535 C: Shows as darker and more muted, with more gray content and lower chromaticity than PMS 3302 C.

Frequently Asked Questions About Pantone™ PMS 3302 C

How can I confirm I am ordering the correct Pantone PMS 3302 C color for my project?

Before ordering PMS 3302 C, confirm the exact Pantone code and suffix with your brand standards or project documentation. Pantone codes such as PMS 3302 C include suffixes like 'C' for Coated or 'U' for Uncoated, which indicate different reference standards. Using the correct code ensures alignment with your intended appearance and brand requirements.

When should I order a sample of PMS 3302 C before full-scale production?

It is recommended to order a sample of PMS 3302 C for high-visibility brand projects, large installations, or when using new substrates or finishes. Sampling helps you evaluate the color under actual lighting and conditions, particularly because PMS 3302 C is a dark, saturated teal that can look different depending on material and lighting. This step supports color approval and reduces risk in key applications.

Why is it important that PMS 3302 C is reproduced by an authorized Pantone partner?

PMS 3302 C is a standardized Pantone color used in brand and marketing applications where visual accuracy is critical. Choosing a supplier authorized to reproduce Pantone PMS colors ensures that the paint matches the official target as closely as possible. This supports brand consistency and helps avoid issues caused by unofficial or inaccurate matches.

How much area does a spray can of PMS 3302 C typically cover?

A standard spray can of PMS 3302 C usually covers about 16 to 20 square feet per coat on a smooth, primed surface. Because PMS 3302 C is a highly saturated, dark color, you may need additional coats to achieve full coverage and uniform appearance, especially on light or uneven surfaces. Always consider substrate texture, color, and the number of coats required to estimate quantity for your project.

How quickly will I receive my paint matched to Pantone PMS 3302 C?
All paint is custom-made to order. While most orders ship within 48 hours, the lead-time for paint made to match Pantone PMS 3302 C depends on the type of paint needed. Interior and exterior house paints usually ship within 1 to 3 business days, while custom spray paint typically takes 3-5 business days to ship. The transit time depends on your location and the shipping method you choose. If your need is immediate, select Expedited Production during checkout. Most expedited production orders ship within 24 hours on business days. Please contact MyPerfectColor if you are concerned about a specific deadline. Can I use the Pantone PMS 3302 C for touch up?

Unfortunately, no.

Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.

The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.
