PMS 326 C is a standardized color in the Pantone Matching System (PMS) collection. It presents a distinctive, clean, and contemporary cyan that is vivid, fresh, and visually assertive. This color is widely recognized in professional branding and display environments, offering a technical and energetic vibe suitable for applications demanding high chromatic visibility.

PMS 326 C appears moderately light, with an LRV of 31.59. This color has a cool tendency, emphasizing blue-green undertones. PMS 326 C is highly saturated, resulting in strong color presence. Its undertone is distinctly cyan, shifting closer to blue than yellow. The appearance of PMS 326 C can vary noticeably depending on finish and lighting, with gloss or satin sheens further intensifying its chroma.

PMS 326 C is effective in environments requiring clear brand identification or visual emphasis, such as signage, displays, and experience-driven marketing installations. Care should be taken to evaluate samples in final lighting and finish, as perceived color can shift under varied conditions. The high chroma of PMS 326 C may impact hide, which could require careful application and additional coats for uniform coverage, especially over darker substrates; substrate preparation is key to maintaining color integrity and evenness compared to less saturated cyans, which may offer easier coverage but less impact.

Similar colors:
PMS 3255 C – Lighter and slightly less saturated, resulting in a softer visual effect.

PMS 327 C – Slightly darker and deeper, providing a more subdued appearance.

PMS 320 C – More blue-leaning and less chromatic, offering a cooler, more restrained look.

Frequently Asked Questions About Pantone™ PMS 326 C

How can I ensure color consistency for PMS 326 C paint across multiple orders?

To maintain color consistency for PMS 326 C on reorders, use the same product type, application method, and finish (such as gloss or satin) each time. Always reference the Pantone PMS 326 C standard as your color target, and if you previously approved a sample or standard chip, use the same reference for future runs. Differences in material, sheen, or approval process can lead to visible shifts even for the same Pantone code.

What is the typical lead time for custom paint matched to Pantone PMS 326 C?

Paint matched to Pantone PMS 326 C is made to order. Typical production lead times depend on the product type and current production volume, but most orders ship within a few business days. If you have tight deadlines, we recommend reaching out to confirm current timings before placing your order.

Why is it important to use an authorized source for Pantone PMS 326 C paint?

Pantone PMS 326 C is a licensed color standard, not just a name or generic formula. Using an authorized source like MyPerfectColor ensures your paint is reproduced to match Pantone's specification as closely as possible. This supports visual brand consistency and means your color target is interpreted according to Pantone standards across different materials and production batches.

What are best practices for applying PMS 326 C over large surfaces to avoid patchy or inconsistent color?

To achieve a uniform appearance when applying PMS 326 C over large areas, use consistent tools, spray angles, and coat thickness. Highly saturated colors like PMS 326 C may require additional coats for even coverage, especially over darker substrates. Prepare surfaces carefully and apply each coat methodically, allowing proper dry time between coats. Always review color under the intended lighting and finish to confirm consistency before final installation.

How quickly will I receive my paint matched to Pantone PMS 326 C?
All paint is custom-made to order. While most orders ship within 48 hours, the lead-time for paint made to match Pantone PMS 326 C depends on the type of paint needed. Interior and exterior house paints usually ship within 1 to 3 business days, while custom spray paint typically takes 3-5 business days to ship. The transit time depends on your location and the shipping method you choose. If your need is immediate, select Expedited Production during checkout. Most expedited production orders ship within 24 hours on business days. Please contact MyPerfectColor if you are concerned about a specific deadline. Can I use the Pantone PMS 326 C for touch up?

Unfortunately, no.

Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.

The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.
