PMS 2563 C is part of the Pantone PMS system, widely used in brand identity and marketing. The color is balanced, refined, and modern, with a distinctly cool undertone. Its moderate chroma and lightness lend it a calm yet noticeable presence, making it operationally effective where a composed but visually engaging color is required. Typical applications focus on environments seeking a fresh, approachable, and credible visual tone.

PMS 2563 C presents a medium lightness, with an LRV of 40.75. The color exhibits a cool tendency, oriented toward purple with a subtle blue influence. Saturation is moderate, delivering noticeable color without overwhelming vibrancy. The color displays a clear lavender-to-lilac undertone. PMS 2563 C may exhibit variations in perceived warmth or brightness depending on the surface finish and lighting conditions.

PMS 2563 C functions well in projects requiring a visibly distinct but not overpowering branded color, especially where calmness and modernity are desired. Care should be taken to assess the finish and lighting, as the hue may shift slightly cooler or warmer in different conditions. Compared to similar lavender tones, PMS 2563 C tends to maintain visual clarity without drifting toward grayness or extreme vibrance, providing operational consistency across substrates.

Frequently Asked Questions About Pantone™ PMS 2563 C

How does the surface texture affect the appearance of Pantone PMS 2563 C?

The perceived color of Pantone PMS 2563 C can change depending on the surface texture. A glossy or smooth surface will reflect more light and may make PMS 2563 C appear lighter and more saturated. Rough or matte textures scatter light, which can cause the same color to look slightly darker or less vibrant. Before large-scale use, it is important to evaluate PMS 2563 C on representative substrates and with the final surface finish to ensure the intended visual outcome for your project.

What steps should I follow to order paint matched to Pantone PMS 2563 C on MyPerfectColor?

To order paint matched to Pantone PMS 2563 C, start by selecting the product format that meets your needs, such as spray paint or other available paint types. Next, choose the desired sheen or finish, specify the quantity, and review any additional options or instructions important for your project. Doublecheck that PMS 2563 C is listed as the target color before completing your order. If your application is high-visibility or you are unsure how the color will appear on your materials, consider ordering a sample first.

Are there any challenges with matching Pantone PMS 2563 C accurately in paint?

Pantone PMS 2563 C is a moderately saturated lavender, and like many Pantone colors, its appearance can vary depending on the substrate, finish, and lighting. Achieving a high level of accuracy in paint requires careful formulation and the right application conditions. MyPerfectColor specializes in producing visually precise matches for PMS 2563 C, but users should be aware that differences in material, gloss, and lighting can make the same color look different from printed Pantone references. Sampling is recommended for critical applications.

When should I order a sample of PMS 2563 C before committing to a full project?

Ordering a sample of PMS 2563 C is strongly recommended for large, brand-significant projects or permanent installations where color accuracy must be confirmed under project conditions. If your project involves multiple substrates or will be viewed under unique lighting, sampling allows you to review how PMS 2563 C looks before placing a larger order. Sampling also helps identify any unexpected shifts caused by texture or finish, reducing risk and supporting brand consistency.

Can I use the Pantone PMS 2563 C for touch up?

Unfortunately, no.

Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.

The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.
