PMS 1925 C from the Pantone PMS system is a clean, assertive, and highly chromatic red with a distinctly contemporary character. This color gives a visually strong and energetic appearance, showing a modern and vibrant vibe well-suited to brand-focused and marketing-driven contexts. It is recognized for its clarity, brightness, and ability to command attention in signage, exhibit, and promotional display environments.

PMS 1925 C appears as a saturated, high-impact red with a pronounced visual intensity. The color is classified as cool-leaning for a red, with an undertone that is neither overly warm nor orange, but rather relatively balanced, bordering on the magenta side. PMS 1925 C has a moderate LRV of 17.59, making it a darker mid-tone rather than a light color. The high chroma produces strong color purity, contributing to its visual prominence and boldness. This color is particularly sensitive to finish, with gloss levels notably affecting perceived depth and saturation.

PMS 1925 C performs best in settings where strong brand visibility and audience engagement are prioritized. Evaluate this color under the anticipated lighting conditions, as the boldness can appear muted or exaggerated depending on ambient light and finish. Highly saturated reds such as PMS 1925 C may require additional coats to achieve uniform coverage, and surface preparation is important to avoid visual inconsistencies. Compared to similar reds, this color retains clarity without drifting toward orange, making it less susceptible to perceivable warmth shifts.

Similar colors:
PMS 192 C – Slightly deeper and darker, with a more pronounced true red quality.

PMS 1935 C – Displays a cooler tone with increased magenta influence, resulting in a red with subtle blueishness.

PMS 186 C – Appears warmer and more classic, leaning towards a traditional scarlet rather than a vivid contemporary red.

Frequently Asked Questions About Pantone™ PMS 1925 C

How does the finish or sheen affect the appearance of Pantone PMS 1925 C paint in brand or display applications?

The finish selected for PMS 1925 C, such as gloss, satin, or matte, can significantly change how the color is perceived in real-world settings. A gloss finish will intensify the red, boosting both saturation and brightness for maximum brand impact. A matte finish will dial back reflection, making PMS 1925 C appear softer or slightly darker and can reduce its boldness. Satin sits between these effects. When planning brand-facing displays or exhibits using PMS 1925 C, consider how finish will influence visibility and match expectations under your lighting conditions.

Why can PMS 1925 C look different under various lighting conditions?

PMS 1925 C is a highly saturated red, which means its color can appear to shift depending on the light source and environment. Cool LED, fluorescent, or natural sunlight may change the perceived intensity or balance of magenta in PMS 1925 C, making it look either more vivid or slightly muted. For projects where brand consistency is critical, always evaluate a physical sample of PMS 1925 C under the lighting present where the finished result will be viewed, ensuring the final appearance aligns with expectations.

Where can I find the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) for PMS 1925 C paint?

The Safety Data Sheet for PMS 1925 C is linked to the specific paint product or format you are ordering, not to the color code itself. To access the correct SDS, choose the format of PMS 1925 C you plan to use, such as spray paint, and visit the SDS library or product page for that paint type. This ensures you have the accurate safety and handling information for your application.

How do I choose the right paint type for PMS 1925 C for interior or exterior use?

When specifying PMS 1925 C for a project, select your paint type based on whether the item will be used indoors or exposed to weather. For brand or display work indoors, standard interior paint formats or custom spray paint are typically suitable. For exterior applications where exposure and durability matter, choose a paint product formulated for outdoor use. Matching the format to your environment helps maintain the brand appearance and performance of PMS 1925 C.

Can I use the Pantone PMS 1925 C for touch up?

Unfortunately, no.

Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.

The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.
