To accurately compare PMS 1555 C samples for approval, always view the samples under the same type of lighting as the final installation. Place the samples on the intended substrate or an identical surface, as both color and finish can shift based on the base material. Make sure paint or coatings are fully dry and cured before making any final color judgments, as wet or uncured finishes may appear different from the target. Consistency in these variables reduces the risk of an unexpected appearance in the branded environment.

When applying PMS 1555 C to plastics or other low-surface-energy substrates, be aware that standard paints may not adhere well without additional preparation. Many plastics require a specific adhesion primer or surface pretreatment. It is recommended to test PMS 1555 C paint on your actual plastic material before full production to confirm adhesion and appearance. This approach helps prevent costly rework and ensures the brand color is both visually correct and durable.

The finish or gloss level of PMS 1555 C can significantly influence how the color is perceived. Higher gloss finishes will make PMS 1555 C look more intense and saturated, while matte finishes reduce vibrancy and may make the color appear softer or lighter. When matching PMS 1555 C, ensure that the sheen level of your sample and final application are the same, as even slight differences in gloss can create the impression of a color mismatch.

The Safety Data Sheet (SDS) for PMS 1555 C paint depends on the type of paint or coating you select, not just the color code. To locate the appropriate SDS, visit the SDS library for your selected product or paint format. If you have already chosen your paint type, search for that product in the SDS section to download the document you need for compliance or safety review.

Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.

The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.

The 11oz spray will cover about 20 square feet per coat. Keep in mind that it is difficult to gauge how much spray you'll need as it is highly dependent on how it is applied. It is better to have too much than run short.
