Pantone™ PMS 114 C

When using PMS 114 C in pop-ups or retail settings, consider the color's high lightness and saturation. To achieve brand consistency, ensure the finish and substrate match your intended look since PMS 114 C is sensitive to gloss and surface variations. Sample the color in your installed lighting before full production, as this bright yellow may shift in appearance depending on lighting type and substrate texture. Also, select a product format with durability suited to your installation's expected use and traffic. Review installation timelines to confirm color approval and verification steps can be completed before rollout.

Surface texture can noticeably influence PMS 114 C, which is a highly luminous yellow. On smooth surfaces, the color will appear more even, crisp, and true to the Pantone reference. On textured or uneven substrates, shadows and variable reflectivity can make PMS 114 C appear less saturated, darker, or visually inconsistent. Texture may also cause unexpected shifts in color perception, especially in environments with directional lighting. It is best to sample PMS 114 C on the chosen substrate and finish to confirm appearance before final application.

Sampling PMS 114 C is strongly recommended for large installations, brand launches, or projects requiring strict brand color alignment. If your project involves critical brand visibility, approval workflows, or application to multiple substrates, ordering a physical sample in the intended finish and lighting will help avoid unexpected color shifts. Sampling is also important with highly saturated colors like PMS 114 C, since visual appearance and coverage can be affected by both substrate and environmental factors.

The Safety Data Sheet (SDS) for paint matched to PMS 114 C depends on the product or paint type, not the color code itself. Select your intended paint format for PMS 114 C and refer to the SDS library for that specific product. The SDS provides information about safe handling, hazards, and compliance for the chosen paint type, regardless of the color applied.

Unfortunately, no.

Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.

The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.

The 11oz spray will cover about 20 square feet per coat. Keep in mind that it is difficult to gauge how much spray you'll need as it is highly dependent on how it is applied. It is better to have too much than run short.

We've found that every paint company offers its own unique selection of colors and rarely does a color have an exact equivalent in another company's color collection, especially for a color collection like Pantone which is designed for bright colors and inks.
