Pantone™ PMS 115 C

The appearance of PMS 115 C can vary greatly depending on the sheen selected. Gloss and semi-gloss sheens enhance the yellow's brightness and saturation, which can maximize visual impact for branding and displays, especially when viewed from a distance. To avoid confusion or mismatches, always specify the full Pantone code when ordering paint for PMS 115 C. The code 'PMS 115 C' defines a precise color within the Pantone Matching System. Do not rely only on the color name or a generic 'yellow' description, as small code differences or missing suffixes (such as 'C' for coated) can result in a noticeably different color. Confirm your specification against your brand guidelines or Pantone reference, and provide the exact code to your vendor for consistent results on marketing, display, and brand fabrication projects.

Coverage for one spray can of PMS 115 C will depend on surface texture, method of application, and number of coats needed for full coverage. As a high chroma yellow, PMS 115 C usually requires multiple coats to achieve full opacity, especially over dark or uneven surfaces. As a guideline, one 11-12 ounce can may cover about 20 to 25 square feet with one coat on a smooth, primed surface, but total required quantity should be based on applying at least two coats. Plan to test coverage on your actual material and adjust quantities accordingly to ensure color consistency and avoid running short during branding or display fabrication.

Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.

The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.
