• If acceptance is to your existing parts: request a sample-based match or provide the powder manufacturer and product ID for an OEM-specific match. Submit a part or chip for the lab to align color and sheen/texture.

Action: Decide your acceptance reference (standard vs existing part), define lighting for inspection, and specify sheen and texture. Without that, an exact match to unknown powder-coated parts cannot be guaranteed.

Match the existing gloss and texture whenever inspection is against installed parts. Gloss shifts can make the same color appear different.
