Pantone™ PMS 7545 U

Pantone PMS 7545 U is a color communication standard, not a coating or finish specification. It defines a visual color target, but it does not control sheen, film build, substrate, application method, or aging of an existing surface.

Because of this, a Pantone match to PMS 7545 U should not be expected to blend invisibly into an existing painted item. Differences in gloss, texture, lighting, and wear can all cause visible mismatch. Pantone PMS colors are best used when the Pantone reference itself is the target, such as new brand-facing components, displays, or prototypes.

Pantone PMS 7545 U is available as custom spray paint and other paint formats for branding and display applications. Common options include spray paint, paint pens, and brush-in-cap bottles.

The right format depends on how the color will be applied. Spray paint is typically chosen for larger surfaces or when a uniform visual result is needed. Paint pens or brush-in-cap bottles are often used for small components or detailed areas where controlled application matters.

Safety and VOC characteristics depend on the specific product format and coating type selected for PMS 7545 U. Different paints can vary in solvent content, ventilation needs, and handling requirements.

For Pantone PMS 7545 U spray paint, multiple light coats generally produce a more even and visually consistent result than a single heavy coat. This approach helps with coverage, color uniformity, and surface appearance.

Allow appropriate flash time between coats so solvents can escape and the film can level properly. Exact timing depends on the product and conditions, but patience between light passes typically improves the final look of brand-critical colors.

Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.

The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.

The 11oz spray will cover about 20 square feet per coat. Keep in mind that it is difficult to gauge how much spray you'll need as it is highly dependent on how it is applied. It is better to have too much than run short.
