Pantone™ PMS 7529 U

PMS 7529 U is a Pantone PMS reference used as a visual color target for brand-facing elements like signs, displays, and exhibits. It communicates the intended brand color across vendors, but it is not a paint formula or finish specification.

For fabricated parts, the safest approach is to evaluate a physical paint sample of PMS 7529 U on the actual substrate and finish you plan to use. Surface material, sheen, and lighting can all change how the color is perceived, so visual approval on a real sample helps prevent surprises at install.

When applying a PMS 7529 U match to metal or powder-coated parts, surface condition matters. Existing coatings, gloss level, and surface prep like cleaning and scuffing can all affect the final appearance.

If the metal already has a coating, the underlying color and sheen can shift how PMS 7529 U looks once applied. For brand-critical components, ordering a sample and reviewing it on the prepared metal surface is the most reliable way to confirm acceptance before full production.

PMS 7529 U provides a consistent Pantone color target, but visual results can vary if product type, sheen, or application method changes between orders.

To keep repeat results aligned, reorder the same paint product and finish, and base approvals on the same type of physical sample each time. Using a prior approved sample as your visual reference helps manage expectations for future batches.

Safety Data Sheets are tied to the specific paint product, not to the Pantone color code itself. PMS 7529 U only defines the color target.

Once you select the paint type and format for your PMS 7529 U order, the corresponding SDS can be found in the SDS library for that product. Always review the SDS that matches the exact paint you are purchasing.

Unfortunately, no.

Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.

The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.

The 11oz spray will cover about 20 square feet per coat. Keep in mind that it is difficult to gauge how much spray you'll need as it is highly dependent on how it is applied. It is better to have too much than run short.

We've found that every paint company offers its own unique selection of colors and rarely does a color have an exact equivalent in another company's color collection, especially for a color collection like Pantone which is designed for bright colors and inks.
