PMS 568 U is a Pantone PMS color defined by its deep blue-green appearance and low overall brightness. It conveys a calm, grounded, and institutional feel, making it suitable for brand environments that favor restraint over vibrancy.
The color appears dark with a low light reflectance value of 10.09 and reads as cool due to its blue influence. Its saturation is moderate rather than vivid, and a blue-green undertone keeps the color visually controlled and muted.
PMS 568 U performs best on well-prepared, evenly primed surfaces where consistent depth is important. Due to its darkness, surface contrast and lighting conditions can affect uniformity, and lower-sheen finishes often help maintain a stable appearance.
Similar colors:
PMS 567 U: lighter and more open, with less depth and visual weight.
PMS 569 U: darker and slightly more neutral, with reduced green clarity.
PMS 7718 U: cooler and more blue-driven, with a cleaner, less muted appearance.

PMS 568 U is a Pantone color target, but the finish you choose strongly affects how it is perceived. Gloss finishes reflect more light, which can make PMS 568 U appear darker and more saturated. Matte finishes absorb more light, often making the same color look flatter and lighter. Satin or semi-gloss finishes usually fall in between.
Because Pantone references are visual standards, not finish specifications, you should evaluate PMS 568 U in the actual sheen and lighting conditions of your project before final approval, especially for brand-facing displays.
Yes. Expedited production is typically available as an option during checkout for PMS 568 U paint. This shortens production time but does not change color matching steps.
If your deadline is critical or tied to a launch or installation date, contact MyPerfectColor before ordering to confirm feasibility. Color matching and curing still require time, so early confirmation helps avoid schedule risk.
Ordering PMS 568 U means you are purchasing a custom paint matched visually to the Pantone PMS 568 U reference. Pantone PMS codes define a standardized color target used for communication and brand consistency.
The code does not specify a paint formula, coating system, durability, or finish. Because of this, slight visual differences can occur depending on substrate, sheen, and lighting. For high-visibility brand applications, reviewing a physical sample before full production is recommended.
Saturated Pantone colors like PMS 568 U may have lower hide than neutral colors. This means the surface underneath can influence the final appearance if coverage is not uniform.
Using an appropriate undercoat and planning for multiple coats can improve consistency and reduce patchiness. This is especially important for display components or brand environments where even color appearance matters more than speed of application.
Unfortunately, no.
Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.
The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.

To make spray paint matched to Pantone PMS 568 U. MyPerfectColor uses an acrylic enamel which is a fast-drying durable coating suitable for interior or exterior use. MyPerfectColor custom spray paint enables you to conveniently achieve a professional spray-smooth finish in any color in any sheen. It sticks well to most surfaces including metal, plastics, powder-coatings, cabinets and primed or previously painted wood.
The 11oz spray will cover about 20 square feet per coat. Keep in mind that it is difficult to gauge how much spray you'll need as it is highly dependent on how it is applied. It is better to have too much than run short.
While MyPerfectColor can provide PMS 568 U in paint, we don't provide any crossover information. We've found that every paint company offers its own unique selection of colors and rarely does a color have an exact equivalent in another company's color collection, especially for a color collection like Pantone which is designed for bright colors and inks.
