Pantone™ PMS 635 U

Pantone PMS 635 U is a color reference standard, not a full coating specification. It does not define sheen, film build, substrate, or aging conditions. Because of this, paint mixed to PMS 635 U can look different from an existing finish that has its own surface texture, gloss level, and wear history.

For existing products or coated surfaces, even a very close Pantone match can stand out when applied next to the original finish. PMS 635 U is best used when the Pantone color itself is the target, such as for brand-facing displays or new components, rather than trying to blend into an already coated surface.

To order paint matched to Pantone PMS 635 U, start by selecting the paint format that fits your application, such as spray paint or another available option. Next, choose the sheen level you want, since sheen affects how the color appears under light.

Then select the quantity and review any available options before adding the product to your cart. Because PMS 635 U is a visual color standard, confirm that your chosen format and sheen align with how the color will be viewed in its final environment.

Pantone PMS 635 U is a licensed color standard owned by Pantone. Licensed reproduction means the color is matched using authorized Pantone reference data rather than an approximation or unofficial lookup.

This matters for brand work because PMS 635 U is often specified to maintain consistency across vendors and materials. Licensed matching helps ensure the paint target aligns with the Pantone standard used in brand guidelines and marketing assets.

Pantone PMS 635 U is a relatively vivid color, and like many saturated Pantone hues, it may require more than one coat to achieve uniform coverage. Hide can vary depending on the substrate and the selected paint format.

Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.

The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.

The 11oz spray will cover about 20 square feet per coat. Keep in mind that it is difficult to gauge how much spray you'll need as it is highly dependent on how it is applied. It is better to have too much than run short.
