Pantone™ PMS 624 U

For Pantone colors, the exact code matters more than the descriptive name. PMS 624 U is a specific Pantone Matching System reference, where "624" identifies the color and "U" indicates the uncoated Pantone standard.

When ordering paint matched to PMS 624 U, always use the full code including the suffix. Ordering by name alone can lead to the wrong target, especially if the coated (C) or uncoated (U) version is mixed up. Pantone PMS codes are color communication standards, not paint formulas, so accuracy starts with providing the exact code.

Pantone PMS 624 U defines the color target, but it does not specify where or how the paint will be used. When ordering, you need to choose a paint type based on the environment.

For interior brand displays, exhibits, or marketing installations, an interior paint or display-focused coating is usually appropriate. For outdoor signage or brand elements exposed to weather, an exterior-rated paint should be selected. The color match to PMS 624 U is created within the chosen paint system, so selecting the correct interior or exterior product is a separate and required decision.

Pantone PMS 624 U is a brand color reference used to create consistent visual experiences across marketing materials, displays, and physical environments. Brands specify Pantone PMS colors so multiple vendors and materials can aim for the same visual target.

Once you select the paint type or format for your PMS 624 U order, the correct SDS can be found in the SDS library for that product. If you need documentation for compliance or site requirements, make sure you know which paint system you are ordering, as that determines the applicable SDS.

Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.

The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.

The 11oz spray will cover about 20 square feet per coat. Keep in mind that it is difficult to gauge how much spray you'll need as it is highly dependent on how it is applied. It is better to have too much than run short.
