PMS 606 U is a Pantone PMS color recognized for its extremely vivid yellow-green appearance. It conveys energy, urgency, and visibility, with a sharp, modern feel that stands out strongly in marketing and experiential environments.
The color appears light and highly luminous, with an LRV of 51.55. It leans cool due to its strong green influence and exhibits very high saturation, resulting in an intense, eye-catching presence.
PMS 606 U is commonly used in brand graphics, signage, and display components where high visibility is essential. It is frequently selected for marketing installations and visual accents designed to stand out in busy environments.
This color performs best in controlled brand applications where impact is prioritized. Its high saturation may require additional coats and careful surface preparation, and lighting and finish choices can significantly influence its perceived brightness.
Similar colors:
PMS 605 U: slightly lighter and more yellow, with less green intensity.
PMS 607 U: darker and heavier, with reduced brightness and visibility.
PMS 375 U: more balanced between yellow and green, with lower overall saturation.

Yes. PMS 606 U is a Pantone PMS brand color, which makes it a common target for signs, displays, and exhibit components where brand consistency matters. Pantone codes define a visual reference, not a paint formula, so the goal is to visually match the PMS 606 U target on your specific material.
For fabricated elements, the safest approach is to evaluate a sample on the actual substrate and under the intended lighting. This helps confirm appearance before full production, especially for high visibility or brand approved installations.
The SDS is not tied to the Pantone PMS 606 U color itself. Safety Data Sheets are specific to the paint product and chemistry, such as spray paint, epoxy, or urethane.
After selecting the paint type for your PMS 606 U order, you can access the corresponding SDS from the SDS library for that product. Always review the SDS for the exact product format you are using.
PMS 606 U is a bright and saturated Pantone color. Colors in this range can have lower hide, meaning the substrate or previous color may show through more easily.
Plan for additional coats to achieve a uniform appearance, especially on darker or uneven surfaces. Applying a suitable primer and testing coverage on a sample piece can help set correct expectations before full application.
Sheen affects how PMS 606 U is perceived. Higher sheen finishes reflect more light and can make the color appear brighter and more saturated, while lower sheen finishes reduce reflection and can soften the appearance.
Select sheen based on viewing distance, substrate texture, and the visual requirements of the application. For critical brand color use, it is recommended to review a PMS 606 U sample in the chosen sheen under the actual lighting conditions.
Unfortunately, no.
Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.
The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.

To make spray paint matched to Pantone PMS 606 U. MyPerfectColor uses an acrylic enamel which is a fast-drying durable coating suitable for interior or exterior use. MyPerfectColor custom spray paint enables you to conveniently achieve a professional spray-smooth finish in any color in any sheen. It sticks well to most surfaces including metal, plastics, powder-coatings, cabinets and primed or previously painted wood.
The 11oz spray will cover about 20 square feet per coat. Keep in mind that it is difficult to gauge how much spray you'll need as it is highly dependent on how it is applied. It is better to have too much than run short.
While MyPerfectColor can provide PMS 606 U in paint, we don't provide any crossover information. We've found that every paint company offers its own unique selection of colors and rarely does a color have an exact equivalent in another company's color collection, especially for a color collection like Pantone which is designed for bright colors and inks.
