Pantone™ PMS 5575 U

PMS 5575 U refers to the uncoated Pantone reference. Pantone publishes many colors in both coated (C) and uncoated (U) series, and the visual appearance can differ between them.

When ordering paint matched to PMS 5575 U, the match is made to the uncoated reference, not the coated version. If your brand standards, artwork, or physical swatch specify a different suffix, confirm that before ordering. Using the wrong series is a common reason customers receive a color that does not meet expectations.

In general, most custom Pantone matches begin production shortly after the order is placed, but they are not stocked items. If you have a fixed deadline for a brand activation, display build, or marketing install, plan extra time and confirm timing before ordering.

Coverage for spray paint matched to PMS 5575 U is approximate and depends on application method, surface texture, and number of coats. As a general planning estimate, one standard spray can may cover about 8 to 12 square feet per coat.

Smoother surfaces and lighter coats tend to go farther, while textured substrates and higher opacity expectations may require more material. For brand-critical work, ordering extra cans is recommended to allow for test sprays and consistent coverage.

Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.

The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.
