PMS 344 U is a Pantone PMS color used as a standardized visual reference for consistent color communication across vendors and materials. It conveys a light, open, modern, approachable, and fresh vibe without appearing overly vivid.
The color has a high lightness with an LRV of 64.08. This color leans cool, with a green hue that carries a subtle blue influence. The color shows moderate saturation, appearing clear but not highly intense.
This color has a soft mint-like undertone that keeps it visually light.
PMS 344 U works well in brand displays, prototypes, and marketing installations where a light green presence is needed without strong visual weight. Lighter Pantone greens like this may show substrate variation, so priming and even application can help achieve uniform results, especially on contrasting surfaces. Finish and lighting can influence how cool or warm the green appears, so evaluating samples in the intended environment is recommended.

Pantone PMS 344 U spray paint is formulated to visually match the Pantone color standard, not to define durability on its own. Real world durability depends on surface preparation, the paint system selected, and the environment where it will be used.
For brand displays, signage, and marketing components, durability is typically sufficient when the surface is properly cleaned and prepped. If the application will see handling, outdoor exposure, or abrasion, selecting the appropriate paint type and considering a compatible clear topcoat are important steps. Always choose the paint system based on exposure and handling needs, not just the color.
Yes, Pantone PMS 344 U can be applied to metal and previously coated parts, but preparation is critical. Metal surfaces should be properly cleaned and lightly scuffed so the new coating can adhere consistently.
Existing powder coat color, texture, and gloss level can influence how the Pantone match appears. A smoother or glossier surface can make the color look brighter, while textured finishes may soften the appearance. For high visibility parts, testing a sample on the actual substrate is recommended before committing to full production.
Pantone PMS 344 U is commonly used for prototypes and concept models where visual brand alignment is the goal. The Pantone code serves as a shared color reference so designers, fabricators, and stakeholders are evaluating the same target color.
For prototype workflows, spray paint is often chosen for speed and coverage, while other formats may be useful for smaller components. Reviewing a physical sample under expected lighting helps confirm that the appearance meets brand expectations before final approval.
Choosing the right paint type for Pantone PMS 344 U depends on the substrate, environment, and desired finish. Different paint systems can affect sheen, coverage, and perceived color even when matched to the same Pantone reference.
If you are unsure which option fits your project, provide details such as the material being painted, indoor or outdoor use, handling expectations, and finish preference. This information helps determine the most appropriate paint format for achieving a reliable, brand-consistent result.
Unfortunately, no.
Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.
The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.

It sticks well to most surfaces including metal, plastics, powder-coatings, cabinets and primed or previously painted wood.

While MyPerfectColor can provide PMS 344 U in paint, we don't provide any crossover information. We've found that every paint company offers its own unique selection of colors and rarely does a color have an exact equivalent in another company's color collection, especially for a color collection like Pantone which is designed for bright colors and inks.
