PMS 3125 U is a Pantone PMS color specified as a standardized visual reference for brand and marketing use. It presents a bright, cool cyan-blue character that reads as energetic, fresh, and highly visible in display and experiential environments.
The color appears medium-light with an LRV of 30.41 and has a distinctly cool blue-green tendency. Its high saturation gives it strong visual intensity, while a clear cyan undertone can appear brighter under cool or daylight-balanced lighting.
PMS 3125 U performs well in signage, exhibits, and branded installations where color recognition is critical. Because of its saturation, careful surface preparation and consistent application can help achieve even results, and lighter primers may support coverage. Sheen and lighting conditions can noticeably influence how bright and intense the color appears once applied.

PMS 3125 U is a Pantone PMS color often specified in brand standards for graphics, displays, and visual marketing elements. Like other Pantone references, it serves as a shared color target so different vendors can aim for the same visual result.
When ordering paint matched to PMS 3125 U, the goal is visual alignment to the Pantone reference, not an exact material or finish match. This approach is appropriate for brand-facing displays, signage, exhibits, and short-term marketing installations where consistent color appearance matters most.
If you are unsure which paint type is best for your PMS 3125 U project, contact MyPerfectColor with details about your substrate, environment, and finish goals. Information such as indoor or outdoor use, handling or abrasion exposure, and desired sheen helps narrow the right option.
Pantone colors are color references, not paint formulas. The same PMS 3125 U color can be produced in different paint types, each affecting durability, appearance, and application. Getting guidance before ordering reduces the risk of choosing an unsuitable product.
Yes. PMS 3125 U is commonly used in prototypes and concept models where visual brand alignment is important. Using a Pantone-referenced color helps teams evaluate form, graphics, and overall presentation against brand expectations.
For prototypes, it is often best to order a small quantity first and review the color on the actual material and under expected lighting. Finish, surface texture, and lighting can all influence how PMS 3125 U is perceived.
A typical custom spray can of PMS 3125 U covers about 8 to 12 square feet per coat under ideal conditions. Actual coverage depends on spray technique, surface texture, and how heavily the paint is applied.
Highly saturated Pantone colors like PMS 3125 U may require additional coats for even color and full hide, especially over darker substrates. When estimating quantity, plan for extra material to allow for test sprays and multiple coats.
Unfortunately, no.
Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.
The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.

To make spray paint matched to Pantone PMS 3125 U. MyPerfectColor uses an acrylic enamel which is a fast-drying durable coating suitable for interior or exterior use. MyPerfectColor custom spray paint enables you to conveniently achieve a professional spray-smooth finish in any color in any sheen. It sticks well to most surfaces including metal, plastics, powder-coatings, cabinets and primed or previously painted wood.
The 11oz spray will cover about 20 square feet per coat. Keep in mind that it is difficult to gauge how much spray you'll need as it is highly dependent on how it is applied. It is better to have too much than run short.
While MyPerfectColor can provide PMS 3125 U in paint, we don't provide any crossover information. We've found that every paint company offers its own unique selection of colors and rarely does a color have an exact equivalent in another company's color collection, especially for a color collection like Pantone which is designed for bright colors and inks.
