Pantone™ PMS 2758 U

Pantone PMS 2758 U is a standardized color target used to communicate brand color intent, not a paint formula. Because of this, any reproduction involves visual matching rather than a one-to-one conversion.

Highly saturated Pantone colors like PMS 2758 U can be especially sensitive to material, sheen, and lighting. MyPerfectColor focuses on visual accuracy to the Pantone reference, but small perceptual differences can occur when the color is applied to different substrates or viewed under different lighting.

If brand approval is critical, ordering a sample first and reviewing it under the actual lighting and viewing conditions is the best way to confirm acceptance before committing to a larger order.

Sheen has a direct impact on how PMS 2758 U is perceived. Glossier finishes reflect more light, which can make the color appear brighter or more saturated, while flatter finishes tend to absorb light and can look deeper or slightly muted.

When choosing a sheen, consider the viewing distance, the substrate, and the lighting where the color will be seen. If the color needs to read clearly from a distance or under strong lighting, sheen choice becomes especially important.

Because sheen can change perception, it is recommended to evaluate a sample of PMS 2758 U in the exact sheen you plan to use before final production.

For pop-ups and retail installations, PMS 2758 U should be evaluated under the actual lighting conditions of the space, since lighting can significantly alter how the color appears.

Durability and coverage are also important. Saturated Pantone colors may require additional coats to achieve uniform appearance, especially on large panels or varied substrates.

Before a full rollout, it is best practice to sample PMS 2758 U on the intended material and review it in place. This helps confirm visual consistency and avoids surprises during installation.

Pantone PMS 2758 U is intended for brand color reproduction, not for matching an existing painted or manufactured surface.

If your project requires a component-level match to an existing part or surface, sending a physical sample provides a more reliable target than the Pantone reference alone. This allows the color to be matched directly to what you have, accounting for material and aging effects.

Use the Pantone code when brand color consistency is the primary goal. Use a physical sample when matching an existing item is the priority.

Unfortunately, no.

Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.

The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.

It sticks well to most surfaces including metal, plastics, powder-coatings, cabinets and primed or previously painted wood.

The 11oz spray will cover about 20 square feet per coat. Keep in mind that it is difficult to gauge how much spray you'll need as it is highly dependent on how it is applied. It is better to have too much than run short.

While MyPerfectColor can provide PMS 2758 U in paint, we don't provide any crossover information. We've found that every paint company offers its own unique selection of colors and rarely does a color have an exact equivalent in another company's color collection, especially for a color collection like Pantone which is designed for bright colors and inks.
