PMS 2415 U is a Pantone PMS color commonly specified in brand and marketing systems that require strong visual presence. The color conveys a deep, dramatic, saturated character with bold intensity and high contrast, particularly effective in controlled lighting environments.
The color appears very dark, with a low light reflectance value of 7.54, and reads as cool-leaning with a magenta-violet hue. It exhibits high saturation and strong chroma, giving it a dense, vivid appearance with a subtle blue-violet undertone that adds visual depth.
PMS 2415 U performs well on brand-facing elements such as displays, dimensional lettering, and accent components where depth and contrast are deliberate design choices. Because of its darkness and saturation, careful surface preparation and consistent application can help reduce visible variation, and multiple thin coats may be beneficial over lighter or high-contrast substrates.
Similar colors: PMS 241 C: slightly lighter and more open, with a brighter magenta presence.MyPerfectColor is the official licensee of Pantone and authorized to reproduce the Pantone™ PMS 2415 U color in spray paint and other paints.

PMS 2415 U is a Pantone reference color, not a material-specific formula. When that color is applied to different substrates, absorption, surface texture, and reflectivity can change how it appears. Smooth, non-porous materials often look more saturated, while porous or textured surfaces can appear darker or less vivid.
For brand-facing work, evaluate PMS 2415 U on the actual material used in the final build. This is especially important for multi-material displays where consistent appearance matters more than matching a single lab value.
The choice between matte and gloss affects how PMS 2415 U is perceived. Gloss finishes typically increase saturation and visual punch, while matte finishes reduce glare and can appear more controlled under strong lighting.
Consider viewing distance and lighting when deciding. Close-up applications under bright lights often benefit from matte, while signage or displays viewed from farther away often benefit from gloss. If brand approval is critical, testing both finishes is the safest approach.
Pantone colors like PMS 2415 U are visual standards intended for consistent communication, but exact matches can be challenging, especially for vivid and saturated hues. Differences in materials, finishes, and lighting can all influence perceived accuracy.
MyPerfectColor specializes in producing visually accurate Pantone matches for brand and display applications. For high-visibility or approval-driven projects, ordering a sample and reviewing it under actual lighting conditions helps confirm acceptance before full production.
For saturated colors like PMS 2415 U, multiple light coats generally produce more uniform coverage than one heavy coat. Thin coats help maintain color clarity and reduce the risk of runs or uneven sheen.
Allow each coat to flash dry before applying the next, based on ambient conditions and the specific product used. Rushing coats or applying too heavily can affect both appearance and consistency.
Unfortunately, no.
Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.
The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.

While MyPerfectColor can provide PMS 2415 U in paint, we don't provide any crossover information.
