PMS 7723 C from the Pantone PMS collection is a saturated, medium-dark teal green with a distinctly cool and clean appearance. This color is often specified in visual brand systems and high-impact marketing because it combines visual vibrancy with stable, technical undertones. With a vibe that can be described as assertive, purposeful, contemporary, and visually consistent, PMS 7723 C is operationally relevant in environments requiring precise brand color reproduction across physical substrates.

PMS 7723 C appears medium-dark in value; it presents a noticeable depth but is not so deep as to be mistaken for a blackened green. The color is cool-leaning, driven by a balanced presence of blue in its green base. PMS 7723 C has high saturation, producing a vivid and immediately recognizable appearance. The undertone is blue-green, contributing to a fresh, modern look. The color’s perceived vibrancy and depth are sensitive to finish; high-gloss finishes will intensify the chroma, while matte finishes may reduce the perceived brightness. The specified LRV of 30.64 indicates moderate reflectance, offering enough depth for strong visual presence without overwhelming darkness.

PMS 7723 C is effective for situations where a robust, cool green is needed to stand out within brand environments or displays. It achieves visual consistency across multiple materials but may show subtle shifts in character under direct fluorescent versus natural lighting due to its saturation and undertone. Take special care when specifying finish, as glossier surfaces will appear more intense. Relative to similar greens, PMS 7723 C maintains a cooler, more assertive profile, making it preferable when a technical, contemporary green is required rather than an earthier or warmer shade.

Frequently Asked Questions About Pantone™ PMS 7723 C

How does the finish or sheen affect the appearance of Pantone PMS 7723 C paint?

The appearance of Pantone PMS 7723 C can vary significantly depending on the chosen finish. High-gloss finishes will make the color appear more vivid and deepen its chroma, making the cool green tones seem more intense. Satin finishes offer a moderate sheen that keeps much of the vibrancy while reducing reflections. Matte finishes will mute the brightness and can make PMS 7723 C appear softer or slightly darker. When brand consistency is important, confirm the desired finish matches your reference standard before ordering, as the same color can look noticeably different across gloss levels.

What steps should I follow to order paint matched to Pantone PMS 7723 C on MyPerfectColor?

To order paint matched to Pantone PMS 7723 C, first select your desired paint type (such as spray paint, paint pen, or housepaint) from the product options. Next, choose the finish or sheen that best suits your brand standards. Specify the quantity needed and review any additional options. Always confirm your substrate, application needs, and finish before placing your order to ensure the result aligns with your intent. If you need approval or a physical sample first, order a sample size before larger quantities to verify color acceptance.

What should I consider when specifying Pantone PMS 7723 C for use in a pop-up or retail environment?

When specifying Pantone PMS 7723 C for retail or pop-up installations, assess the expected wear and visibility of surfaces. Use durable finishes for high-traffic areas to sustain brand appearance. Test PMS 7723 C in the actual lighting conditions, as both fluorescent and natural light can alter its visual perception. Sampling on your intended material is strongly recommended before large-scale application, as highly saturated colors can shift between substrates or finishes. Confirm the finish, substrate, and lighting before committing to production quantities to ensure brand consistency.

How should I prepare surfaces before applying paint matched to Pantone PMS 7723 C?

For optimal results with Pantone PMS 7723 C paint, start by thoroughly cleaning the surface to remove dust, grease, and contaminants. In most cases, a light scuff with fine sandpaper improves adhesion, especially on glossy or smooth substrates. Wipe down surfaces after scuffing to eliminate residue. If possible, apply a test spot in an inconspicuous area to confirm adhesion and visual acceptance before proceeding. Proper prep helps achieve even coverage, which is important for saturated colors like PMS 7723 C that may require multiple coats for uniform appearance.

Can I use the Pantone PMS 7723 C for touch up?

Unfortunately, no.

Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.

The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.
