Pantone™ PMS 7721 C

To ensure you are specifying the correct color, double check that PMS 7721 C is the exact code listed in your brand guidelines or project documentation. Pantone PMS colors may include suffixes like C (coated), U (uncoated), or other series designators, which refer to different reference standards. Verifying the full code, including any suffix, helps avoid costly mistakes and ensures the paint aligns with your intended brand or display specifications.

For brand or visual approvals, order a small sample of PMS 7721 C in the intended paint format and finish. Test the sample on the actual substrate and evaluate it under the lighting conditions where the finished display or element will be installed. This allows all stakeholders to confirm vibrancy, coverage, and exact appearance before large-scale production, reducing risk of mismatch or rework.

PMS 7721 C is a deep, highly saturated color that can appear significantly different depending on the lighting source and intensity. Cool lighting may bring out blue undertones, while warm light may make it appear darker or less vibrant. It is important to evaluate the color sample in the specific lighting where it will be used to ensure it meets brand expectations for appearance and recognition.

Because PMS 7721 C is a dark and saturated teal, it may require a uniform primer or additional coats for even, vibrant coverage. Using an appropriate undercoat helps reduce the number of finish coats needed and supports consistent color development, especially over light or varied backgrounds. Planning for multiple coats is recommended if you require the true depth and intensity specified by the Pantone standard.

Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.

The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.

The 11oz spray will cover about 20 square feet per coat. Keep in mind that it is difficult to gauge how much spray you'll need as it is highly dependent on how it is applied. It is better to have too much than run short.

We've found that every paint company offers its own unique selection of colors and rarely does a color have an exact equivalent in another company's color collection, especially for a color collection like Pantone which is designed for bright colors and inks.
