Durability of PMS 7647 C spray paint strongly depends on the preparation of the surface, the environment where it is used, and any topcoats applied. For the best performance, make sure surfaces are clean, properly prepped, and primed as recommended for your material. If PMS 7647 C will be used in situations with frequent handling or environmental exposure, consider a compatible clear topcoat for added protection. Always select a paint type suited to your display or brand environment requirements. Test painted samples in the expected conditions before full production, as vivid colors like PMS 7647 C can show wear or fading more readily if not properly protected.

When applying PMS 7647 C to metal or previously powder-coated parts, it is important to clean and scuff the surface to promote adhesion. Existing finishes, gloss levels, and base coat colors can noticeably affect the look of PMS 7647 C, especially since it is a highly saturated shade. The final appearance may be altered by surface texture or underlying color, so evaluate test samples under the actual lighting and application conditions before proceeding with production. For reliable color approval of PMS 7647 C samples, use consistent lighting conditions and the same type of substrate for all comparisons. Ensure that all painted panels are fully dry or cured before making a final color decision, as wet or partially cured coatings can appear different. This approach helps avoid mismatches and allows you to confidently present PMS 7647 C as the intended brand color on your displays or prototypes.

For PMS 7647 C, which is a dark, highly saturated color, apply several thin coats rather than a single heavy coat. Allow appropriate drying, or flash time, between each coat to reduce runs and achieve even coverage. Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.

The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.
